We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aaron, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a creative career, because I knew I wanted to live out my passion and ultimately make a difference. Anytime I am able to get up on stage to speak to an audience, or act out a scene on camera, or sing a song: I become alive. I discovered this passion about 10 years ago, and ever since been working diligently towards my goals and bringing them into fruition.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I most excited about and proud about my speaking business. I speak to colleges and programs across the state. I got started in my business by speaking at different non profits and programs and eventually got into YSU (Youth Speaker University) and was able to take my business to the next level. Was it easy? No? But with proper coaching and guidance it was POSSIBLE. And I am still building. Block by block. Step by Step. Brick by Brick. Some lesson I learned along the way, is to never give up and always ask for help. Their are times you will not know everything, and that’s totally OK. We are here to help one another. What I truly want the world to know about me, is that I am an Uplifter. I am so happy to be here to live out my dream and help people live out theirs as well. We have so many talents that were given to us, for us to share with one another. I am here to help and am here to serve. Reach out to me if you would like me to speak at your next event. I am looking forward to it!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh ok! Definetly. I tell all my friends we have to take the “Hollywood Tour”. The tour goes to some monumental places: Hollywood sets, celebrity homes, Rodeo Drive. If it’s your first time in L.A, you have to go!!! Point, period, blank. We then have to go to Malibu, go surfing or catch the waves. Universal Studios is another definite location. There is so much to do in L.A. There is also Horseback Riding, scuba diving, and just so many sights to see!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Well this is a great question. and there are SO MANY people to thank. But right off the top. I am thankful to God for the opportunity to be born and live this amazing life. I then thank my mom and dad who I love so much. And my brothers and sisters for being there for me at the times I need them. I thank my nana, love you so much, and your encouraging words every time I see you! I thank my friends for always having my back. And I thank my mentors Alain and Danielle Dagba for your ongoing guidance. Shoutout to my business acting coach and friend Wendy Alane Wright and my speaking coach Clint Pardoe. I thank Josh Shipp and his amazing program YSU (Youth Leadership University) for the constant guidance on my speaking business and platform. And and BIG thank you to everyone who has reached out to me through social media, letters being sent to my home, phone calls and texts. I see you and appreciate EVERY SINGLE one of you. I love you ALL!
