Meet the Edison Hollow band

We had the good fortune of connecting with the Edison Hollow band and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Edison Hollow, what is the most important factor behind the band’s success?
Probably our authenticity. We aren’t trying to sell some grandiose version of what we think people want us to be. We are just 4 friends that love doing what we do. We try to keep ego as much out of it as we possibly can. It’s about celebrating the moment with the people you love and being able to forget whatever is bothering you for a moment. Our connection with our fans is #1.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your band, what can you share with our community?
We are a Rock ‘n Roll band from Detroit, MI. We attack every stage we perform on with a high intensity, scorched earth mentality that leaves us hard pressed to be matched. We work our collective butts off for this thing and I think people realize that and that’s what’s helped build such an involved community that follows us. It’s never easy in this industry and we could talk about that all day, but that’s not what it’s about. A lot of great, intelligent people helped us get here and having a good inner circle is crucial to this industry. If we had to boil it down, know who you have in your corner and make sure they know they are valued.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are tons of great things to do around the city! Food wise you can throw a dart at the city and not go wrong, with places like Johnny Noodle King, Green Dot stables, Balkan house, Golden Fleece and Yemen Cafe in Hamtramck you can’t go wrong.
Some great bars to check out would be PJ’s Lager House, Small’s bar, Parts & Labor, The Painted Lady, The Outer Limits and Bumbos (Jack White is know to hang there sometimes)
Belle isle is always a must in the warmer season, there is so much to do there from Hipster beach, to the conservatory. The river front is also a pretty cool area to check out. Detroit is easy in the way that you really can’t go wrong. There’s is a ton to do in the city. Make sure you check out some of the local shows too of course.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Tom Jordon from 20 Watt Tombstone has been an integral driving force behind the success of this band. His mentorship and insight have put us on a whole new level and without it we wouldn’t be in the position we are in today without him. He and his are some of the best people in the world and we couldn’t possibly ever thank him enough.
Justin Pullum is another, without him, this band wouldn’t exist in the format you see it now, he put us all on in our own respective bands when we were younger and ultimately was how we ended up meeting.
