Meet Abraham Lopez | CEO, Director, Writer, Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Abraham Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abraham, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process with starting my business was to create an entertainment production company like no other where our main focus is collaboration and teamwork. I wanted to provide innovative and serious storytelling about issues that people don’t usually talk about in order to bring to light the things that many people keep hidden.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is that I wear many different hats and I have mastered many of the positions in my profession over the course of many years. I am a director, writer, producer, cinematographer, editor, and colorist and I am also knowledgeable in other departments such as sound and lighting. I am most proud of and excited about my two feature films I am working on, Life Like This and The Betrayal. Both of these started out as proof of concept’s which have won many awards in acclaimed film festivals. I wrote, directed, and produced both of them and I am very excited to share the full length stories with the world. I got to where I am today by staying focused and never giving up when things got tough. It wasn’t easy. There were a lot of obstacles I had to overcome such as negative people and some production decisions that had to be made. I overcame these challenges by continuing to stay positive and focused, and not giving up on my goals. The lessons I learned along the way was to trust your gut and to not ignore red flags. I also learned to be consistent and determined. I want the world to know that I am a determined individual who wants to make a change in the world through entertainment and storytelling.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friends or family members were coming to visit I would take them to Universal City Walk where we would enjoy the restaurants and stores there. Then we would maybe go to Universal Studios to enjoy the theme park. I would take them around the iconic Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd areas and we would also go to my hometown in Santa Clarita.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all, I want to thank God for guiding me, supporting me, and leading me to where I am today, and for leading me to greater and bigger things. I also want to thank my Godmother, Eleanor Earl, with E.L. Earl Entertainment for supporting me, helping me when I am in need, and being there for me. I also would like to thank my team Greg, Talisa, and Natalie for helping out with my company and for the efforts of expanding and growing it through thick and thin.
