Meet Abraham Martinez & Antonio Jimenez

We had the good fortune of connecting with Abraham Martinez & Antonio Jimenez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Abraham & Antonio, how do you think about risk?
As a business owner, you need risk in order to grow. Trying a new menu concept, new service, expanding, or buying new equipment is all risky but you need to take it to grow. For us, we took the risk to not only create a new service that not many companies were doing but consistently growing our team, menu, and services to meet the demand of our clients. Sometimes our plays don’t develop in our favor but at least you learned from that attempt and evolve from it.

What should our readers know about your business?
Hi everyone, we are Los Angeles Pizzeria Co. (Abe & Tony) and we are a wood-fire pizza catering business that has been serving delicious Napoletana-style pizza in Los Angeles County and surrounding cities for the past 6 years. As one of the first wood-fired pizza catering businesses in Los Angeles, what sets us apart is our delicious recipes, exceptional customer service, and unique catering experience. We cater over 1000+ events a year and will frequently show up at popular festivals as a food vendor. We are grateful for the experiences it took to get here and without the help and support from our amazing staff, family, and friends our journey would’ve been much more difficult.
Growth doesn’t come easy and we’ve had to learn hard lessons from our mistakes. Some of the tips we’d like to provide to new or growing businesses are the following: create strong operational agreements if you have partners, define clear business goals and plans, standardize your workflows so that you can train and delegate tasks so you can further build your business, and hiring good staff is the key to a successful business.
Building a business does not happen overnight and it has taken a lot of sacrifice, hard work, and consistency. You have to be able to adapt and grow because new challenges are always around the corner. We love what we do and we show that to our staff and our customers. It hasn’t been easy but we enjoy the process and do the best we can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There is so much to do in LA but I’d probably start with some local items (local as in Pasadena) and hit up a few of my favorite restaurants like Houston’s, Uovo, and Union. Then we’d definitely have to visit the local tourist sites like Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Venice beach. I’d then take them to some of our amazing stadiums like Sofi, the Colosseum and the Crypto Arena. The itinerary is endless in Los Angeles.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out our family and friends for constantly showing us love and helping us grow our dream. Their support helps us continue to push our business to new boundaries. Without their support, we wouldn’t be where we are now! I’d also like to shoutout our hardworking staff! Thank you!
