Meet Adlai’ Hayes | Broker/Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adlai’ Hayes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adlai’, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
“I’ve always seen business differently. Where some see a job, I see a system. Where others see a task, I see a blueprint.
My journey into entrepreneurship wasn’t a sudden shift, but a calculated evolution. I spent years within the halls of Corporate America with a specific mission: to deconstruct the mechanics of success. I treated every SOP, every policy, and every best practice as a masterclass in scalability. I wasn’t just working within the system; I was learning how to build a better one.
With a natural obsession for business acumen and a creator’s spirit, I realized that my true value wasn’t in maintaining someone else’s platform—it was in architecting my own. Today, I combine that high-level corporate discipline with an entrepreneurial heart to build something that isn’t just a business, but a masterpiece of efficiency and innovation.”

What should our readers know about your business?
The Lawson Narrative
The Foundation of Lawson~Hayes
The name Lawson is more than a brand; it is a salute to my great-grandfather, Charles Lawson Hayes. It was he who established the family culture and values that remain my North Star. Growing up in a household of eight siblings under my parents, Wilbert and Clara, those values of faith and community became my moral infrastructure. While my business is built on modern systems, its soul is a tribute to the legacy Charles Lawson Hayes began.
What Sets Us Apart: The Strategic Blueprint
We are not merely a real estate brokerage; we are a systems-driven platform. What distinguishes Lawson~Hayes is the integration of “Blue Chip” corporate discipline with an architect’s eye for creation. Having spent years deconstructing the SOPs and best practices of Corporate America, I have engineered a firm that operates with institutional precision while maintaining the agility and heart of a family legacy. We don’t just facilitate transactions; we provide a sophisticated infrastructure for wealth and community growth.
The Path to Today: A Calculated Evolution
My journey was never about “luck,” and it certainly wasn’t easy. It was an intentional, paid apprenticeship. I entered the corporate world to learn the blueprint of scale, knowing it was the only way to eventually build my own.
The challenge was never the work itself, but the patience required to remain a student of the system until I was ready to become its master. I overcame the friction of the corporate machine by viewing every policy and procedure as a tool for my future kit. I wasn’t just an employee; I was an architect in training.
Lessons from the Architecture of Business
The most profound lesson I have learned is that discipline is the highest form of creativity. Without rigorous systems (SOPs), a vision remains a dream. With them, it becomes a legacy. I have learned that to lead a community, you must first master the mechanics of the platform that serves them.
Our Message to the World
I want the world to know that Lawson~Hayes Realty is where heritage meets high-level execution. We represent the intersection of faith-based values and high-IQ business acumen. We are here to prove that you can honor a century-old family culture while operating at the leading edge of modern real estate.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To show a guest the true soul of Southern California and the high-octane energy of Nevada, I would curate an experience that mirrors my own life: a blend of refined aesthetics, deep-rooted culture, and strategic luxury.
Since I know Los Angeles intimately, the itinerary wouldn’t be about the typical tourist traps—it would be about the blueprint of the West Coast lifestyle.
The Master Itinerary: From the Canyons to the Strip
Days 1–3: The Coastal & Canyon Sophistication
We begin where the mountains meet the affluent calm of the valley.
The Afternoon Ritual: We start with a long, late lunch at The Commons in Calabasas. It’s the perfect vantage point to appreciate the manicured precision of the area.
The Southern Drive: We’ll head 25 miles south to Manhattan Beach. There is a specific energy where the city meets the sand that you can’t find anywhere else.
The Evening: Dinner and cocktails at Eddie V’s. It’s the quintessential spot for prime seafood and a “V Lounge” atmosphere that sets a sophisticated tone for the week.
Days 4–5: The Cultural Echo
These days are a tribute to the “Old Hollywood” soul and the jazz-infused nights I’ve always loved.
Bel-Air Nights: We’ll visit Vibrato Grill Jazz in Beverly Hills. Owned by the legendary Herb Alpert, it’s a masterclass in acoustics and atmosphere. It’s where business acumen meets pure artistry.
The Valley Classic: A trip to Vitello’s in Studio City. It’s a neighborhood institution with a modern California-Italian twist. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why Los Angeles remains the creative capital of the world.
Days 6–7: The Desert Capstone
Because my business life is split between LA and our office in Henderson, the final act has to be Nevada.
The Transition: A 35-minute flight takes us from the Pacific breeze to the neon glow of the desert.
The Grand Finale: We cap the entire week off at Delilah at the Wynn. It is a modern-day supper club that captures the 1950s golden era of Vegas—exactly the kind of “glamour meets execution” aesthetic I value. We’ll enjoy dinner and a show, surrounded by the same high-level energy that fuels my work in the Henderson market.
Why This Itinerary?
This journey isn’t just a vacation; it’s a reflection of my brand’s story. It moves from the legacy and culture of the canyons to the sophisticated systems of the coast, finally ending with the unapologetic excellence of Las Vegas.
It’s about showing a friend that whether you are in a jazz club in Bel-Air or a boardroom in Henderson, the secret to a “best time ever” is the same as the secret to a great business: impeccable curation and a respect for the craft.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
“My approach to business is a legacy of both discipline and design.
The blueprint was drafted early, rooted in the values of my parents, Wilbert and Clara. Growing up in a household of eight siblings, I learned the complexities of community, the strength of faith, and the necessity of cultural stewardship before I ever stepped into a boardroom. They provided the moral infrastructure; Corporate America provided the technical one.
I spent years deconstructing the systems of the corporate world—mastering the SOPs, policies, and best practices of large-scale institutions. But my intent was always singular: to return to my roots as a builder.
Today, as a founder, I do not just lead a real estate brokerage; I architect platforms. I combine the high-level business acumen of a Strategist with the communal values of my upbringing. My work is an intersection of sophisticated systems and the enduring belief that business, at its best, is an act of service to the community.”
