We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Quihuis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrian, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk Taking? What’s that? I view Risk, like Magic. If you know the art and how to do magic, tricks, and illusions then you can get away with a lot. People see the final product and they are trying to wrap their brains around it on how did they do that, or how did you think that?

I love playing the risk card, that’s the only cards I use. Pushing the boundaries of what can be done or what is imaginable. I think risk plays a big part of being innovate, bold and standing out.

Risk has a played a big part of my life and career. I feel like it’s going to be there my whole life and career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Been making Street signs, street art, street performance art since 1999. I’m here to entertain and while I can’t be everywhere my signs and art can. Everything is process, so my first pieces were weird and different and as the artistic journey went on it got even more weird, different and abstract. Most important lesson I learned is keep making content and putting out there and don’t stop. Your art, people will steal or copy or will inspire their own but you have to keep doing your vision and moving forward. Create art for the future.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
All good. Great. We’d go to whole foods and buy a weeks worth of food, so we can make our lunches to take on the go.

Then, Surfing at Venice beach, Ride Dune Buggy at Pismo Beach, Mountain Biking at Arrowhead mountain, Sand Surfing at Glamis Sand Dunes, Atv rides at Palm Springs, Horse back riding at Big Bear, Snorkeling at Catalina Island.

Then to LAX, Adios!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I think every moment, experience, interaction has led up to this moment right here in my life. That being said, my family and friends for being supportive though everything. From my very controversial content of stripping, streaking, drugs, stealing, and more to the very weird of merman, adult diapers, human horror puppet, etc; they’ve all still supportive and behind me. Which is very important for any artist or talent.
