We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrienne Reyes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrienne, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is authenticity. Any product, creation, service or philanthropy is an extension of me and I give you my wholehearted truth.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
maskipops by adri is a home baking business I started back in 2011. It was my creative outlet and form of therapy after I had to short sale my home from the after effects of the housing market crash. Life handed me lemons and I made cake pops! I’ve had my share of highs and lows with my baking business but the important takeaways are that I’m not afraid to try and learn new things, I am proud of all I have accomplished and I am enjoying every moment.

Sacred House LA is a joint venture I took on with my mother to start a Pranic Healing business. She is a retired corporate exec who specializes in healing businesses and those in their Golden Years or those preparing for retirement. My specialty is healing dogs, helping those on their weight loss journey and healing through clutter clearing. The first half of 2024 we have spent popping up at various events and locations to bring healing to dog sanctuaries to yoga expos and outdoor markets. We are still fairly new in launching this year but we are making our mark by making this healing business our own and letting it speak though our aesthetics and how the energy leaves you feeling.

Last but not least..
I’ve been following Feed the Streets for a long time. Dropping off donations and sending contributions. And I remember seeing a couple years ago that they had the volunteers ready to serve but not enough food to feed the streets. So rallied my family together to cook during the holidays. In order to continue cooking for the streets, Life Force Kitchen was formed. But it’s not just food we provide – we infused the food with Pranic Healing energy. Root word prana which means life force, which is what inspired our name sake. Our non-profit’s board of directors, the volunteers, chefs, drivers, food shoppers – our family members. Our operations are small and intimate but we strive to make a huge, lasting impact.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So this is actually my best friend and I IRL. Hehe. But here it goes…(and it’s very West Valley centric!)

MONDAY
Let’s go to Agoura.

Breakfast and a rosemary latte from Sunrose California Eatery. Shopping at Chandelier & Tulips, Relm and the vintage stores. Lunch at Basta then grab an affogato from TIFA. Hop on Kanan and head to the beach! After the beach, grab a Prince Street Pizza in Malibu.

TUESDAY
We are going up the mountain to Topanga!

But first, coffee (or matcha) from Lalaland Kind Cafe in Calabasas. Then go ahead and take Old Topanga on the way up.

Catch a Pilates class at Awen, followed by a little coworking session at Well Lived Woman. Do some shopping at The Well Refill, Moona Star and Pebbles before having lunch at Endless Color Pizza. Can’t go wrong with a personal pizza or burger so why not both? Take a breather then go for some yoga at Ethereal Yoga Studio then end up for dinner because it’s Taco Tuesday at La Chingona Tacos at Froggy’s. The churros are a must!

WEDNESDAY
Midweek hump got you down? Get a pick me up from RE COFFEE in Northridge. I highly recommend the Iced Pistachio Cream Top with 3 shots and pistachio milk. And a close 2nd comes in the Peanut Cream Top. I’m still dreaming about the coffee so what do we eat? For on the go, grab ready made sushi from Mitsuwa. To dine in, Gaucho Grill. Craving Chinese? A&W Seafood Resturant (& they have dimsum!) For dessert, upside down Halo Halo from Cafe 86.

THURSDAY
Breakfast: Doubting Thomas (HiFi)
Coffee: Lavetta (Echo Park)
Lunch: Maison Matho. Pink Praline Latte is soooo good. (East Hollywood)
Dessert: Levain (Larchmont)
Dinner: Uovo at Sportsman’s Lodge (Studio City)

FRIDAY

We’re going, going, back, back to Topanga, Topanga.

Bring your reusable shopping bag and hit the Topanga Farmers Market from 9-1p. Must get – Hasi Bread!!

Heading back towards the Valley and feeling kinda social? Hit up Topanga Social. My personal faves DTown Pizzeria and Amboy! For coffee at the mall, I actually like the Nordstrom Cafe coffee best. And you have to try chocolate from Läderach!

For the weekends, I look to see what pop-ups are crackin because supporting small is the way to go.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I thank our creator. I am thankful for my spiritual teacher, Master Choa Kok Sui, all the Great Ones, my higher self and healing angels. With gratitude, with respect and with love, I thank you.

My success and support would not be what it is without the help and love from my parents Mon & Joyce, my daughters Ava, Olivia & Hannah, my bestie Kat and my love Ace. They have seen me in baking crunches, pop-up load ins, deliveries, event setups, Zoom meetings, meditations and they have all contributed their time and efforts into helping me bring my ideas to life. I love you all, 1000, million, gugoflex.
