We had the good fortune of connecting with Ahmad Muhammad and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ahmad, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is consistency. I engage with my audience when they ask me questions, I post follow up videos and give advice when they ask me advice and they really appreciate it.

It makes people feel like they’re interacting with more than just another brand because I make sure to let them know that there’s another human on the side of the screen reacting to what they’re saying. This has given me an interesting point of view where people feel comfortable talking to me about pretty much anything video game or aromatherapy related because I can talk to them as a peer and still give my expertise.

Of course, when business is involved I take on a more formal tone, but when it comes to the casual customers who have the potential to elevate my brand I’m always up for some lighthearted conversations and small talk, it goes a very long way.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I can definitely tell you more about us! We started off as a business that produced video game inspired candles and aromatherapy with the added benefit of making them safe for asthmatics and people with breathing issues. It definitely was a big challenge because understanding what makes asthma flare ups happen can be contributed to anything from a change in the weather to different chemicals found in certain name brand products. Sourcing ingredients and making sure they meet my standards and quality was very hard initially, but ultimately it’s something I am very proud of and I’m happy that I accomplished.

As someone with asthma, I understand the feeling that comes along with spraying an aerosol air freshener and having to step outside to breathe or have an asthma attack triggered because of fragrances and additives in those products. that’s why I have dedicated my business to making sure that others can make sure their living spaces smell clean and fresh without the intervention of a albuterol pump.

Over the 2 and a half years we’ve been in business, we have sufficiently made a mark online and in our local areas with over 300 orders places through our website and several events under our belt. Now we’re going further in our mission to reach gamers all across the world by using streaming services such as Twitch, YouTube and TikTok in order to create a safe and equitable space for gamers of all kinds to feel welcome and heard. Everyone is welcome to participate whether it’s about the latest in gaming news or what kinds of aromatherapy is right for your living spaces.

A big lesson I’ve learned while in business how every service has a market. I’ve seen how neglected people with breathing issues are when it comes to aromatherapy. It’s so stressful to even have a disease such as asthma, and people are very willing to use these items, but they have been rebuffed by manufacturers that would rather make a profit instead of making sure their products are safe. I feel great knowing that I’m providing a much needed service for people that need it and I’ve gotten to the point in my career that my customers that said they used to swear off of candles and other items until they found my business.

I want the world to know that Solar Candle Company is dedicated to making sure that gamers that have breathing issues can enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy without worry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Sure, here’s a potential itinerary for a weeklong trip in Atlanta, highlighting some of the city’s best places to drink, visit, and hang out:

Being in Atlanta has it’s perks, and one of the best things about this city is how much there is to do! It’s fairly easy to plan a week long trip here, so I’ll just give some of my personal suggestions!

For day 1, I would start off our trip in Atlanta by first visiting the Atlanta History Center, it has dozens of exhibits that show off the rich legacy and accomplishments of Atlanta.

In the evening, we’d head to Velvet Taco for some amazingly fresh tacos. They have chicken, fish and even vegetarian options for a great time.

Day 2 is all about exploring the Atlanta BeltLine. It’s a 22-mile trail that connects several Atlanta neighborhoods with art installations and murals throughout the walk.

There’s even a place called Ponce City Market to stop for lunch and shopping. For the evening, we’d go to the Little Five Points neighborhood and check out some of its quirky bars, such like The Vortex Bar & Grill.

For day 3, we’d visit the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, which includes King’s birthplace, church, and tomb. There’s also a tour of the neighborhood of Sweet Auburn witch was a focal point of Black American culture in Atlanta.

For dinner and drinks, there’s so many choices, but nothing is like lounging on a rooftop bar such as the Sky Lounge in Midtown.

On day 4, exploring the Georgia Aquarium is a must. It’s one of the largest aquariums in the world. With massive exhibits in every corner and dolphin shows around the clock, you can easily spend the entire day here.

When we leave, I’d suggest heading to the nearby Centennial Olympic Park and grab drinks and dinner at Park Bar. There’s a large outdoor patio and views of the park’s fountains that make for a scenic time while enjoying the city.

Moving on to day 5, I’d look for tickets to the High Museum of Art, which features a wide array of different and awe inspiring exhibits, my personal favorite is the Methuselah exhibit that’s about the life cycle of monarch butterflies, it’s magical.

At the High Museum of Art, there’s usually an evening event that features Jazz artists while food and drinks are served but if there isn’t any events heading to the Virginia-Highland neighborhood to check out some of its trendy bars, such as the Dark Horse Tavern is always a great choice.

For day 6, a weekend at the Atlanta Botanical Garden would be a great pick, they feature different themed gardens, outdoor exhibits and canopy walks for you to take in the scenery and experience.

For lunch or dinner, I’d recommend heading to Zunzi’s for fresh and innovative South African inspired sandwiches for something really refreshing and new!

For the last day, I’d wrap it up with a visit to the World of Coca-Cola, which features an extensive history and culture of Coca-Cola and you can even taste different Coca-Cola products from around the world.

And to round it out for the night, head to the nearby Castleberry Hill neighborhood and check out some of its art galleries and bars like No Mas! Cantina and Bottle Rocket for a fantastic end to a week out on the town.

There’s so much to do in Atlanta, but if I had to pick just a few places to go for a welcome back, this is where I’d take a longtime friend I haven’t seen in a while.
