We had the good fortune of connecting with Aidana Tuzelbayeva and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aidana, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Obviously, it’s a passion and love to my work. The secret of success is when you truly enjoy doing your job. Especially, when you have to come up with the creative solution and you learn and get experience every day from what you are doing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a director and editor. I love all processes of creating movies – from pre-production to post-production. I was always passionate about films and decided to be a director when I was 13. I went to the film school in Los Angeles where I met my amazing instructors, who taught me everything about film making. I had shot couple short films, music videos and my love to film industry have been only increased. And obviously, the next step is to shoot a feature film.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friends are also big film fans. We would definitely go to every single movie theater in the town to compare their quality and I would show them movie museums like The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which is my favorite.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my parents for the love, support and believing in me. Also my incredible instructors from the film school who taught me everything about Film making.
