We had the good fortune of connecting with Aishwarya Oli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aishwarya, why did you pursue a creative career?
My life used to swing up ‘n’ down like a rollercoaster when I was a high school kid (especially during my teens). Everyday homework, studies etc. started to become kind of difficult balancing between my craft. There used to be times when I wasn’t able to give myself time to practice my craft or just being me, at all. Between those sheets of paper, somewhere I was lost. I felt the need to express my feelings, not through a piece of pen, but through a “Voice”. I felt that routine and studies were persistently nagging me that I started feeling burdened and forced to continue study something that I never enjoyed. I was trying not to accept the fact, but eventually I did. Plunged and bemused as to what to really do in life. Hence, a time came, when I finally chose to pursue my course of life in “Music”. I had it enough! As a singer, I am much more flexible, optimistic and expressive in sharing my feelings, concerns, stories, etc much creatively. I feel that if God Himself has chosen me for this auspicious and creative job. I’ve been singing since I was 3 and a half and giving performances across the city since I was 5. Imagining a day without singing and practicing would seem impossible. I had devoted all my life and time in Music. Its like an inseparable union. So, this all should sum up as to why I chose singing as my career.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m an artist originally hailing from Kumaon Hills (The Himalayas), India. I’m a pop/rock singer and an occasional songwriter. I moved to the US as a high school kid at the age of 17 and later on, moved to my dreamplace LA as a college student and an aspiring singer. I admission into MI Hollywood as a Vocal student and from there on, I started having one of a kind experiences in my life. While walking on this journey of dream, I got to learn a lot of things from my peers, my mentors, from strangers in the city and to whomever who can come out as an inspiration. Though I stumbled somewhere and met with failiure while having a smooth walk, but that also gave me some lessons from which I learned a lot. In addition, being in LA and trying to have it all easy and spoon fed looks just as pretty as in the books but it’s hard in reality. There’s an amazing talent in volume across the city and the venues generally gets booked beforehand. Although, these things happen 24/7, 365 days in a year, what sets me apart from others, is the belief, faith, confidence, and creativity I carry within me. My music aims to spread love, peace and happiness across the globe and with a feeling of eradicating all sorts of hatred, outrage and war. Whether I’m just here uploading covers on Youtube or singing an original, my aim is always gonna be educating people about love and exploring them the inner depth of love. Moreover, my music generally aspires to send a message that, there’s more in depth about love that one hasn’t seen yet, if they give a chance, they wouldn’t wanna leave this feeling. Such is the power of love and positivity. My music dreams to build a world in the future, that one hasn’t seen before. A world full of creativity, aesthetics, charming music and including everything that could build up to form something extra-terrestrial.
Back to my college life, the life hasn’t been really smooth, as I tripped over certain situations that were hard. But the only feeling that let me sustain through it, was hope and optimism. That everything is going to be fine. And it did haha.
Therefore, I feel somehow lucky for where I stand now regardless of the disappointments I have met in my life. I have worked hard in the past to get to where I am now and its not easy as one may think. To polish or exercise one’s craft or choice of interest, one has to devote 1000s of hours to it. Plus, meet with failiures too and being optimistic at the same time. So, yes!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s say my friends or my beloved ones are visiting me in the city, the first and most prominent thing I would ever do is to tour them- “Hollywood”!! Cause that’s a one in a million in the World.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When it comes to rewarding gratitude to somebody, then it have always been my mom and dad. Be it the senior speeches in my high school or just like any other reason. They have always sat first on my tongue. But, today I’m going to be adding-in one more personality, There are 2 persons for whom I am more than enough thanful for and would love to give a Shoutout to. They are – my mom and dad & God!! I know it kind of sounds unusual that I’m stating God here as well (as He’s not a humanoid or a physical existence) but!! Whatever He has done for me being invisible, imperceptible, is no less than what my parents did for me. Anyways! Therefore, from the smoothest roads to thick and thin, these guys have always stood by my side. Supported me in whatever decisions I made in my life. Whether opting for a musical career rather than a stable income career such as a computer professional or a sound engineer etc. in an academic field (Cause that’s what parents in volume expect from their child to be atleast from where I come from). Moreover, they provided me with their extended support in situations where I had least expectation. So, by extrapolating my words, I give my Shoutout to these guys!! Peace and Love–
