Meet AJ Dvorak | Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with AJ Dvorak and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi AJ, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Creating music at any level will always make me happy, but I want to continue releasing music and really dive into playing shows and festivals. That would be the ultimate goal as a professional musician and just keep doing what makes me happy musically.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I create music that sounds good and feels good to me and when it resonates with other people, it only makes the experience greater and more powerful for me. I put my heart and soul into my music and love every moment of playing, writing, performing, or any aspect of it. When you love what you do, it surely comes easier, but I’ve definitely put work into my craft. A lot of practice, writing, and networking comes into play. Be the best you can be and continue to grow, and make connections with everyone because you never know where that road might take you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If anyone were to come visit Long Beach, I’d take them to 4th Street and hit up The Social List. Great food and hand-crafted drinks. Also love grabbing beers and pizza at Project Barley Brewery in Lomita. They always have fresh brewed beers and live music playing. And of course, it would always be fun to hit the studio to jam or take some guitars to the beach and jam til the sun sets!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A big part of my music career comes from my brother Nick Frasch, who also leads Chicago psychedelic rock band Earth Radio. We’ve made a lot of music happen in Chicago from improvising jams, playing shows and parties, and organizing local DIY festivals with tons of bands and artists. Nick is beyond passionate about music, jamming with others, and bringing people together for music specifically and it surely resonates with me as a musician. Go check out what @nickthrasch and @earth_radio are doing out in the Midwest!
