We had the good fortune of connecting with Akinsola Adejumo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Akinsola, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe in risk taken is a part of growth. Before getting to this stage of life. I dropped out of college my senior year because I believed it wasn’t going to get me where I needed. I knew the risks but looking back at it now it was worth it. My experience with the military gave me the foundation I needed to be successful.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Getting to where I am today has not been easy! I use my platform to let people know that indeed it isn’t easy, but if you put your mind to what desire and your core goals, anything can happen!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being that I recently moved to ATL, the city has been the highlight of life at the moment. Most nights I stay in my luxury apartment and enjoy the city view. When I am not doing that I love a good night out with my bros! What makes it amazing is we are all able to move around and meet up as we please, so hanging out is not a problem. My favorite drink of all time is Coca-Cola, which I always grab on the way out!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe the biggest shout-out to my friends, parents, and most especially my siblings. Being the eldest and from an African household it gets a bit hard to meet up certain expectations, but my little brothers keep me sane and push me to go hard. I use this motivation to push towards my businesses in order to make the path I wish to make for them. They truly are my driving force for everything I do today! So shout out to my mini me’s
