We had the good fortune of connecting with Albina Bezhentseva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Albina, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always been a creative person, and moving to Los Angeles, a city full of inspiration and creative energy, motivated me to pursue blogging. My love for cosmetics and skincare has always been strong, and it eventually became more than just a passion—it became my career. Before this, I worked in office jobs but dreamed of starting something of my own. LA gave me the push I needed to turn that dream into reality. My fascination with skincare, especially Korean products (which now make up 70% of my routine), led to my first collaboration with a Korean skincare brand, and that’s when my passion turned into a business.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work is all about being real and giving detailed beauty content. What makes me stand out is my honest reviews and quality content that help my followers make smart decisions. This has been the key to growing my brand.
The hardest part was starting as a blogger. It felt overwhelming to step into something new, but I learned to turn challenges into chances to grow, which kept me moving forward.
I’m proud of the strong relationships I’ve built with brands, many of which continue to work with me on new projects. I hope to be remembered for my honesty and the quality of my work, helping people with self-care and providing advice that really makes a difference.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d start the day hiking at Runyon Canyon and have breakfast at Joan’s on Third. I’d spend the whole day at the beach and watch the sunset at Manhattan Beach or Santa Monica. I’d also enjoy walking around The Grove for some shopping. For dinner, I’d go to Laurel Hardware or Great White.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to the entire UGC creator community for their incredible support and help. A huge thank you to my family, and loved ones for their invaluable support. I also want to express my gratitude to all the brands we’ve collaborated with for their trust and partnership.
