We had the good fortune of connecting with Aleece Braziel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aleece, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risk can always be a challenge but if taking that risk leads to something you really want then go for it. A few years back a took a huge risk and quit my manufacturing job to pursue my career as a hairstylist. I gave myself a year to prepare financially to leave my job with the intentions of attending cosmetology school. Every time I would think about leaving job security it would terrify me. But I overcame that fear and did what I wanted to do.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the proud owner of Queen Braidz specializing in braiding and natural hair. I’ve gotten where I am today by really looking into the needs of my clients and other people looking to be serviced within the cosmetologist community and putting those needs into practice. If I could always give a client what they are looking for in one experience then they’ll always come back to me and also refer others to my business. I’m most proud of my clients always telling me of how professional I am or how I made them feel. I want the world to know that as I have dreamt for many years I will have one of the biggest hair care brands there is.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to places like bridge street for shopping and food, walking on a trail, Robyn’s winery for drinks, main event for fun,
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have the support of my career within my immediate family. My children, mother, grandmother and sister.
