We had the good fortune of connecting with Aleks Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aleks, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My wife and I have been professional dancers and choreographers for over 20 years. I have been a part of major production shows such as “Riverdance” and “Dancing with the Stars.” Given this experience, I am intimately familiar with aspects of production, including posing, lighting, and angles. Some might wonder why, with our background, we’d choose to focus on weddings rather than larger productions. Here’s why:

People: Real emotions and genuine feelings are always present.
Diverse Artistic Opportunities: Weddings offer a variety of styles rolled into one. There’s portrait photography, photojournalism, detailed shots, and even landscape photography at times.
Legacy: My favorite reason – imagine knowing that each piece of your art will become a cherished memory in someone’s family forever.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Absolutely, I’d be happy to share more about our business philosophy and journey.

What sets us apart in the wedding photo and video sector is our unique approach and organizational structure. While over 90% of the industry consists of freelancers and another 7% functions as companies, we operate as a comprehensive production team. We’ve adopted a movie production-like approach where each segment of production is managed by dedicated professionals. This means you won’t find a photographer juggling roles like marketing, production, project management, communication, shooting, and editing. Each role is specialized, which drives the quality of our work.

Furthermore, our pricing model is distinct: we don’t charge based on time or equipment. In fact, we’ve moved away from the conventional package systems entirely. Everything is included. Our clients can rest easy knowing that there are no hidden costs or unexpected fees.

Our goal is to revolutionize the industry by consistently delivering more stable and reliable results than what a solo professional might be able to offer. The system we’ve built not only ensures top-quality, but has also empowered us to scale and tackle more projects. Now, as we expand nationwide, this means making even more clients happy every month. We want the world to recognize our commitment to excellence, transparency, and client satisfaction.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife. She’s my everything. It’s for her that I push forward. I truly believe life would be empty without her by my side. She is the most supportive and loving individual I know. Her values and love for genuine connections are the primary reasons we’re in the wedding industry. Additionally, I must mention my mom. She introduced me to the world of shows and dance, which has significantly influenced my career and passions.

So, I guess it’s safe to say women inspire me, wouldn’t you agree? 🙂
