We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Henry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Think of risk like the spice in a recipe, a little necessary kick to make the dish exciting. Now, let me tell you about my wild ride. Picture this: I’m chilling in Serbia, living the good life thanks to my awesome parents. Everything’s stable, but deep down, I’ve got this itch for something more. Call it a dream or a crazy vision, but I wanted a life in California’s entertainment scene. So, what do I do? I throw stability out the window, pack my bags, and dive into the unknown. I’m talking about leaving everything behind and landing in the land of Hollywood dreams. Why? Because that’s where the action is, and I had a gut feeling that it was my ticket to the life I craved. Now, California wasn’t just a walk in the park. It’s more like a rollercoaster, with ups, downs, and unexpected loops. I hit the books, studied the arts, and hustled hard. It’s like trying to juggle while riding a unicycle, challenging, but damn, it’s thrilling. And you know what my secret weapon was? Intuition. I listened to that inner voice telling me to go for it. Trust me, it’s like having a personal GPS for life decisions. Sure, it led me off the beaten path, but hey, that’s where the best stories come from. Today, I’m living the dream, and it’s not because I played it safe. Nope, I embraced the chaos, danced with uncertainty, and made California my playground. Life is good, and it turns out, risking it all was the best plot twist in my story. So, if you’re eyeing a crazy dream, don’t be afraid to sprinkle a little risk into the mix. You might just end up with a blockbuster of your own.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I wear many hats in the entertainment game, I’m an actor, producer, director, and I even try my hand at writing. But let me spill the tea on what’s got me buzzing with excitement, my current project. I’m not just acting in it, I wrote the darn thing and I’m pulling the strings as the producer. It’s my baby, my passion project, and trust me, I’m grinning ear to ear just talking about it. Was it a smooth sail to get here? Nope, not even close. Challenges? Yep, had my fair share. But you know what? That’s the spice of life. I’ve learned to roll with the punches, enjoy the route, and dance in the rain when the storm hits.
Lessons? Keep it simple, be present. Whether it’s chaos, victories, or epic fails soak it all in. Life’s too short for autopilot.
And this project I’m cooking up? It’s not just a movie, it’s a piece of my soul on screen. I want the world to know I’m not just pushing buttons, I’m crafting stories that’ll make you laugh, cry, and maybe question the meaning of life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’re kicking things off with epic hikes that offer killer views of the city. I’m talking Instagram worthy stuff. After working up an appetite, it’s off to my fav spot Elysee Bakery and Cafe in Westwood for a breakfast that’ll set the tone for the day. Speaking of food we also must check The Best Damn Breakfast Burrito in Beverly Hills. We’re not stopping there, Hollywood’s calling, and Beachwood Cafe is the hidden gem you didn’t know you needed. Cozy vibes, amazing food, it’s like a small town escape in the heart of LA. But when the sun sets, it’s time to turn up the dial. Frat parties for that authentic college feel? Check. Then, it’s off to Hollywood’s nightlife gems No Vacancy, Dirty Laundry, and Avalon are our hotspots. But wait, Santa Monica’s Victorian and a karaoke night at Barney’s Beanery or Break Room 86 in Koreatown? We’re making the rounds.
For the beach vibes, Venice and Malibu are calling for some surf action. And because we’re not just about the party scene, let’s dive into the artsy side of LA. Mr. Brainwash in Beverly Hills, LACMA, and the Hammer Museum, we’re talking culture with a side of cool.
Movie nights? Forget the regular cinemas, we’re hitting an Open Cinema at DTLA. Picture this , enjoying films with the city lights as your backdrop. And to cap it off, a short trip to Joshua Tree or Palm Springs for that desert magic.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First up, the real MVPs, my parents and family. They’re the rockstars of support, cheering me on even when I’m on the opposite side of the globe. Big love to my sister, she’s not just family, she’s my partner in crime and the ultimate best friend. Shoutout to my family in Wisconsin who are always there for me. And let’s not forget my teachers from New York Film Academy and UCLA. They’re the Jedi masters of my creative force, guiding me through the wild world of entertainment. Now, let’s talk friends, the OGs back home and the new pals here in the USA. You’re the real MVPs, making life a blockbuster of laughter, support, and shared dreams. And to the artists who light the creative spark in me, you’re the inspiration behind the scenes, pushing me to do better.
Beta Theta Pi brothers, you’re not just a frat, you’re the squad that’s got my back. Castel Collective at UCLA, you’re the entertainment wizards making things happen. A special shoutout to the crew at Elysee Bakery in Westwood. You’re not just colleagues, you’re part of the adventure. And to my mentors, you’re the architects of my career. You know who you are, and you’re appreciated. Oh, and let’s not forget the book buddies “Turning Pro” and “The Four Agreements.” These literary sidekicks have been my companions on this wild ride, dropping wisdom bombs and keeping me on track. So here’s to the cast and crew of my life story, you’re the real stars. The adventure wouldn’t be half as epic without each and every one of you.
