We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Bonner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexandra, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
How do I know whether to keep going or to give up? My answer would be God, my family, and my friends. God has placed so many dreams in my heart for a reason, and I will always be actively and efficiently working toward those dreams until they happen. My friends and family also consistently encourage me to keep working hard. So, to be honest, giving up is not an option for me, because God would never want me to give up. If I run into problems, I will find every possible solution to work through them because anything is possible with a positive mindset and a belief that you can do anything you put your mind to.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud of how much I have achieved and accomplished at such a young age. I have gotten this far because I work diligently day and night, knowing what I want in life and how I am going to get it. The Black Girls Film Camp has significantly impacted my life and career, providing me with the experience and tools needed to pursue my success and dreams. Throughout my journey so far, I have learned the importance of motivation, confidence, sisterhood, and just how being kind to others goes a long way. Every journey comes with challenges, and I have tackled those challenges with prayer and the support of my loved ones.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever, I’d take them to places depending on their interests! However, I would recommend eating at the American Social to eat at. I’d visit the tarpon springs area, ybor, and downtown Tampa, where there’s a lot of little shops, and even some thrift shops. Of course we’d have to go to twisty treat or Crumbl cookie for a sweet treat though!
