We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Bailey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
First, let me start off by saying starting a business was terrifying and especially in a middle of a pandemic. So, my thought process was definitely all over the place. I had this idea about starting my own cleaning services and immediately I took action. When I say “I took action” I got up and went to the store and purchased cleaning products which were inexpensive. Down the line I was able to purchased cleaning products in bulky items. I wanted to be a super woman and still be able to attend college as a full-time student and provide services to those who needed a little sparkle in their homes, offices, and businesses. I always knew I would become an entrepreneur because I wanted to apply my skills elsewhere and provide my future kid/kids an opportunity to not work for someone else. I want to continue to build wealth with the cleaning services I created.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Unique’s Cleaning Service is a small affordable cleaning and organizing company, which strives for satisfaction of customers. I specialize in detailing cleaning and I’m known for going over and beyond for my clients. What sets me apart from others is I’m very professional, the client always comes first; I offer a deluxe version of my services which provides steaming floors, carpet cleaning, organizing, and laundry services if needed. The most proud moments for my company are looking at the reviews after completed jobs. I figured every single person needs their house cleaned or organized. One day I went on Facebook and asked for small donations to purchase cleaning supplies and provide a quality service. By being independent and having self-motivation, I was able to build enough confidence in myself to go into people’s homes. I thrive off of real satisfaction for the fact I’m able to help people relieve stress by making their homes and lives better in a very concrete way. I service Los Angeles, Antelope Valley, Inland Empire, and anywhere else within a reasonable radius. Soon I will be expanding my company to another state which I’m excited about so look out world here I come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would say the ultimate favorite spot to visit has to be MILK which is an ice cream parlor.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother Michelle Beltran. When I was a child, I saw my mother literally clean every day, she couldn’t even sit down and watch a movie because she would be cleaning so much. I followed my mother’s footsteps by cleaning nonstop even when things were already clean, I would then go to other people’s houses rather it’s just a family function or a random visit and would be secretly cleaning up. Being five out of seven my mom calls me her “butterfly” and she always told me to fly. Her definition of a butterfly is not only beautiful but also has this mystery outlook on life. One who makes mindful of your personal growth and progress in life. So, I Alexis Bailey flies. She always reminds me that I can do anything and become anything in this world and I’m doing just that. The strength she shows is simply down-right amazing I don’t know a mother of seven kids who manage to do it all but she did with the help of my father who is also amazing. Now that I’m older I understand why she raised me the way I am now and being that pushy mother. She pushed me to finished High School and College because she wants me to be better than her and with her encouragement, I was able to do both and become the first college graduate of the family. Thank you, mom and dad for being simply amazing and raising me to become a phenomenal woman.
