We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Reardon & Tanya Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis & Tanya, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
We always strive to exceed our customer expectations and we’ve been fortunate to grow our business through referrals. People love our work, but they also like us as people.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We help guide our customers on how to use their space, color and make little tweaks to make their vision better than they imagined. One of the biggest lessons is to be efficient with our time and our client’s time while not making them feel rushed. We are currently running our business on Fanfaire, which helps us deliver a digitally guided buying experience to streamline logistics, pricing and design iterations while also respecting their time. We can now make our customer interactions positive and focused on the event design itself instead of around logistics, negotiations and things that take away from how we will bring their vision to life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We live in the South Bay so we would start the day on our golf cart! First stop is The Boy and The Bear for the tastiest coffee in LA. Then we would take a walk on the strand to enjoy the ocean view. Some of the best restaurants in the South Bay are Palmilla in Hermosa and their sister restaurant, Esperanza, in Manhattan Beach. The Point is always great to let the kids run around while the parents have drinks at Simmzy’s.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to thank the moms behind the events that are being thrown. 99% of our customers are women and a majority of those women are mothers who are throwing a birthday party, a baby shower, a bridal shower, a graduation party….if these parties did not have a mother behind the scenes executing the coordination it takes to throw an event, the event would not happen or at least the event would not be pretty.
