We had the good fortune of connecting with Alice Hu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alice, what do you attribute your success to?
Consistently showing up and not giving up. My business has changed so much over the last 5 years. But what stays the same is the mission aka my why. My why is to help people understand their purpose and to live a more aligned life. When you continue to bring value to people, they will be loyal to you. Over time, this positions you to be a thought leader and expert. I also believe authenticity is important. People can sense when you aren’t authentic. I genuinely want to help people and share how astrology can be helpful. I’m always thinking about new ways to showcase astrological insights for career and business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Career Astrologer. I use astrology to help people pivot in their careers and grow their businesses. Astrology is a powerful tool for introspection. When we understand ourselves, we can take aligned action and create our desired reality. I don’t see many astrologers who focus on career/business and very few who are Asian American. I believe that my niche and my lived experiences allow me to showcase astrology in a different way. People always tell me that I have a practical approach to astrology! And that is exactly my intention.

I am so proud of listening to my intuition and creating my career astrology website, SATURN. I launched it a year ago and more than 10,000 people have gotten their free report and hundreds their expanded career astrology report! I was so scared to start it because I have no technical expertise and this website is a complete custom build. I mapped out what I wanted and my developers made it into reality. It’s my first time managing the creation and launch of a tech product.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Food
Bavel – I’m obsessed with the pita.
Erewhon – Because everyone needs to try a $20 smoothie at least once in their life.
Sua Superette – Delicious, organic Chinese food.
Korean BBQ – Obviously!

Activities
Yoga Nest Venice – I teach yoga and sound bath meditations at this studio!
Baldwin Hills – For a walk and a view of the city.
Fairmont Century City Spa – I love the spa here.
