We had the good fortune of connecting with Alima Sanni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alima, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My business is music marketing and I wanted my business to be a valuable resource for emerging music artists. I combined my experience in artist development with my 10+ years experience in music journalism to create an artist development program for artists to get crystal clear on their branding, develop solid music marketing strategies and become the CEO of their careers without needing a record label.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is called Music Love Harmony. It focuses on music marketing and artist development for emerging music artists. I revived my 11-year-old music blog where I featured and interviewed emerging indie talent to create an educational platform for music artists. My brand has evolved over the years, but I still plan on featuring the stories of artists on the blog.

I recently launched an artist development coaching program for artists to become the CEO of their careers without relying on a record label. I also released an ebook for artists called “Indie Amplified.”

It’s been a long journey filled with ups and downs, but I’m grateful for how far the brand has come.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, we would go to The Oaks Gourmet Market & Cafe for coffee, go shopping at The Grove, and drive to Malibu and go to Zuma beach.

I want to dedicate this shoutout to my family, my business coach Jennifer Morilla, and the team at the Los Angeles based business consulting agency, Forward Female. I’m so grateful for their support.
