We had the good fortune of connecting with Alina Rozwadowska and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alina, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I view risk as a necessary part of growth, both personally and professionally. Throughout my life, I’ve taken many risks—whether it was pursuing an unconventional path, making a career change, or stepping into the unknown by opening a Pilates studio. While not every risk led to immediate success, each one taught me something valuable and pushed me out of my comfort zone.

In fact, I’ve found that risk often leads to opportunity. Even when things didn’t work out the way I hoped, those experiences opened new doors I hadn’t even considered before. Starting a Pilates career after spending years in corporate world wasn’t a walk in the park. I’ve gained resilience, new skills, and a deeper understanding of myself through the process. So for me, taking risks has been less about the outcome and more about the growth and discovery that comes with it. It’s a mindset that has consistently paid off.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is all about helping people move better and feel better through Pilates and biomechanics. What sets me apart is a personalized, science-based approach to movement—no cookie-cutter routines, just thoughtful, tailored guidance for each individual.

One of my proudest moments is seeing clients truly transform. One of my first and longest standing clients is a 70-year-old man who had spent 20 years caring for his son and had little time for himself. We started with the basics, and today, he’s stronger than many of my 20-year-old clients! His posture, strength, and energy have completely transformed, and it’s been amazing to witness his journey. I also coach tennis and football players as well as moms and many other types of professionals.

Building this business hasn’t been easy—there were challenges, doubts, and lots of learning along the way. But the impact I see every day reminds me why I do this. I want people to know that my work is about more than just movement—it’s about helping others reconnect with their bodies and live fuller, healthier lives.

At Body Atelier, my mission is to guide others toward strength, awareness, and sustainable well-being—one mindful movement at a time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my Pilates instructors. I began my Pilates journey because of debilitating back pain, and it completely changed my life—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Each one of my teachers has, with incredible patience and care, guided me through movement, helping me understand my body and how to live a healthier, more aligned life.

If it weren’t for their knowledge, encouragement, and the meaningful relationships they built with me, I don’t think I would have persisted with my practice for as long as I have. It’s the teachers who show up with heart—especially on the hard days—who make all the difference.

Their impact inspires me every day in my own teaching. I strive not just to be an instructor, but a guide—helping others understand the biomechanics of their bodies and empowering them to improve their quality of life.
