We had the good fortune of connecting with Allisa Batista and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Allisa, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
The most important thing I’ve done as a parent that has impacted my children is give them a chance to live out their dreams. They have watched me over the years work for other Companies as loss prevention, a barista, receptionist and a massage therapist. I used to work day in to day out and sometimes only see them once a day. As a mobile massage therapist I now make my own schedule. I no longer use child care or have to ask for days off. There was a time my children would complain that I work too much and that really hurt me. I really wanted to be there for awards and fun activities but I was stuck in an office working 9 to 5. Now With the freedom of my on scheduling whenever they need me I am there and I am able to create memories with them. My children have watched me build a business from the ground up and I hear them speak about how they want their own business. So I know that my life choices have impacted them greatly! My son runs a small dog walking Business in our community and my daughter wants to run a small babysitting business of her own.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As A mobile Massage Therapist I have definitely had my fair share of challenges. I used to question myself wondering if My massage is good enough. Working with other therapist and getting massages sometimes I questioned myself. This was a challenge for me because I had Doubts about my craft. Now I have learned that confidence is key! Believing in yourself makes all the difference. Believing in yourself makes you worthy Of the benefits. What sets me apart from others is my mindset and accomplishments. I have wanted a mobile studio for years but I Had no idea how to do it. The moment I seen my best friend achieve something she set out I realized I could do that too. Instead of coming to someone’s home or place of business I can now take my business to you! I am truly excited to utilize my Studio pop-up shops, residential homes and businesses.
Having a mobile massage studio is definitely not easy. I now have to learn to drive with a trailer behind me. I have to keep maintenance up on my studio. I wasn’t able to store the studio in my driveway so I needed to find A storage around me. A lot of this can be frustrating but it’s what I want so I Roll with the punches. There here’s a quote that I read that said: “ if it makes you uncomfortable do it anyway“. So here I am!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I am A bit adventurous so I would probably take my best friend jet skiing at Balboa water sports in Newport. Then wine tasting at the local winery. Followed by shopping at fashion Island. Then end the night at Topside Roof Deck Restaurant. Depending on how we feel maybe Some karaoke at a local bar/pub.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely owe all of my success to God. I also appreciate a book called The Secret. It helped me unlock all My manifestations. Last but definitely not least, I want to thank my husband who told me to take a chance on myself and stop working for other people.
