We had the good fortune of connecting with Alysse Fozmark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alysse, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote would definitely be one my mom created, “Maybe yes, maybe no; do your best and let it go.” I love this quote so very much, especially with acting. We take classes, we put in the work, the time, the money; and then we just have to let it go. We might get that callback, we might get that booking, but we have to make sure we do our best every time, enjoy the work, and then just let it go. Thanks, mama!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an actress, but I also love to hang around on aerial silks, play video games, make friends with as many animals as possible, and try to have as many adventures as I can. A lot of actors seem to think that being an actor has to be your whole life, but gaining life experiences is the best way to grow and become a more complete person. Never stop taking classes, never stop having fun, never stop gaining new perspectives on life. I have wanted to be an actress since I was two, and was fortunate enough to take college acting classes even at the age of five; but my parents always made sure to give me as many other experiences in life as they could. No part of my acting career has been easy- but if it were, everyone would be an actor. It’s hard, but if you love acting and the work it entails, it’s worth it. I have always kept my sights on what I would like to achieve, and have made small goals to achieve along the way. I’m still learning, and still growing, but I am so thankful that I have had the opportunities that made me who I am today.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting the area- I would of course take them hiking at iconic Griffith Park for the fun and gorgeous views. I would make sure we had a drink at The Beetle House for the great atmosphere and fun characters. If they were into dancing I would take them to La Descarga and make sure we stay to see the incredible dancers get up on the bar and shake their thangs. If they were into relaxing I would take them to Venice beach and go exploring! I am still getting to know LA and all the wonderful and fun places it has to offer- and I cannot wait to keep discovering more!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Every single person I have met on my journey so far deserves a shoutout. It has made me who I am today, and I’m pretty darn proud of that. I would like to shout out Annie Grindlay studios, who has brought me to a new level since arriving here in LA and has made every single person I’ve been in class with even more talented and driven actors. I would like to shout out my mentor, friend, and inspiration Jana Lee Hamblin, Bryce Earheart who has been my hero more times than I can count, my besties Cami Storm and Kennedy Morris, Rachael Perrel-Fosket, Yanira Torres, Connor Fogarty, Analesa Fischer, Amber Stonebraker, Bethany Jacobs, and so many more. You have all helped me with auditions, with keeping hope alive when things have seemed too dark to see through and reminding me to have fun and love the life I have. Shoutouts to you all!
