We had the good fortune of connecting with Ami Haruna and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ami, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Tokyo Japan. I think Japanese people have totally different mentality towards work (at least when I was there) There were a lot of people who works for the same company till they retire, so they are loyal to the company and so the company treats them well. No 100s of start ups to choose from and also hopping around job in a year- all those were not there when I was raised. also my parents taught me to be kind. like we say to our kids, sharing is caring and don’t be greedy. So when I work I try to do my best and go above and beyond to keep clients happy. we may never see each other again but being professional and kind was how I was raised.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an an agent signed Print Model- like Target, SouthWest Airline, Bose and many more. I also Live stream and manage the Live stream agency.
I have been the Top Streamer in the asian owned streaming app called 17live for over 3years and made enough to buy a second house in prime Los Angeles area.
I consult for first 3month for the newbies until they get a hang of it for the Agency called A-list. so I can raise next generation of me- and hopefully someone who does better than me in the future as well !
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely the Santa Monica, Rodeo and Hollywood sign. but also if it’s summer time I would def take her to palm springs for the weekend. I like to shop online but occasionally I go out in Century City mall and Rodeo Drive and Wilshire area for shopping so we’d do that too.
Tarpits and the farmers market is interesting too.
for eating out, my fav is Nobu malibu, Ivy, Onodera and rooftop at JG !
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Komao Furuyama “Tsumano heya” (wife’s room)
