We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Huynh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amy, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is the fire that burns in your belly when starting a business. It is the marriage of uncertainty but the belief in yourself and what you believe. Risk made me anxious when I was about to embark on my business journey. However, once I started, risk gave me the momentum to continue to pour my own foundation. Regardless of the unknown of a business, you have your unwavering belief in the path. Risk ends up be a positive force rather than a terrifying one.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The quality of my ingredients, which translates to the products, is something proudly claim. It takes a long time for us to find the right ingredients from the right vendors. Each recipe is carefully crafted and intentional. It takes a long time for me to be satisfied with the product. We want to make sure we bring the best and make all of our treats as healthy as possible!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles is such an amazing city and I would want to show them how versatile life here is. I would first like to take them to the beach cities to soak in the sun. Venice Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Manhattan Beach are all very underrated beaches. I would love them to try the delicious cultural foods around town. Korean food in K-town, sushi in J-Town, and Mexican food across the city are just a few to mention. Nightlife in West Hollywood is lively and beautiful. Morning hikes to the Hollywood sign or the Santa Monica Mountains demonstrates the natural beauty of the city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My partner, friends, and family have been instrumental during this journey. My partner encouraged me to leave behind an industry and career I no longer believed in to follow my heart. His devotion to my dream to help me bake treats after a long day’s work is unmatched. My network of support has challenged me and allowed me to grow in areas that are unfamiliar. Women who have jumped into the captain seat of business have mentored me and continue to inspire me.
