We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasia Hunter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anastasia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is that I am willing to allow my authentic self to be seen and I am extremely transparent. People feel like they know me and believe in me, so they trust me. Good branding shares three core elements – it’s emotional, it’s memorable, and it’s trustworthy. I find that people are attracted to me because they sense warmth and I am approachable. And I mean that in a non-real estate sense. I am a natural storyteller, and I love to share my clients journey to homeownership – if they allow me to :-). Others then see themselves in my clients shoes and it gets them excited about their own journey. In a real estate transaction, I know much of my clients personal information. It’s like a short-term marriage perhaps. I find that we are usually very similar so we end up sharing life stories and by the end of the sale my clients literally become friends and family. Many times my clients overcome major hurdles to get to this point so this process is more emotional than anything. The experience in working with me reflects a relationship and not a transaction.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets Anastasia’s Luxury Living apart is that I aim to provide a concierge experience to my clientele and I carry that out through every interaction they have with me. Whether it is on-boarding, home shopping, marketing, or providing post-transaction assistance; I try to curate the experience to match the expectation of excellence. I provide the same level of excellence whether a client is purchasing a $300,000 or a million dollar home.
The number one question a buyer or a seller has in their initial conversation is, “Can I trust this person with my hopes and dreams?” Trust is at the core of any successful business and empathy is my competitive advantage so that I am building trust and rapport with my clients and not resistance. I am able to interpret what my clients are thinking and most importantly what they are feeling. The ability to demonstrate my understanding of my clients inner workings is the key to my success.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Los Angeles is such an exciting place with so many smaller nearby cities that you need about a week to view everything. First, I would begin with a bottomless mimosa brunch at the Castaway Restaurant in Burbank. Then we would visit Universal Studios for a movie studio tour and City Walk. Following, I would take them to the Santa Monica Pier and bike riding along the beach. Because my friends enjoy an ultimate shopping experience, I would take them to explore Rodeo Drive. We are all kids at heart so I couldn’t let the week end without staying a night in Anaheim and visiting Disneyland. And because no one comes to LA without stopping by Hollywood & Highland, we would grab souveniers and visit the infamous Walk of Fame. For our last dinner, we would have some fun riding the mechanical bull at Saddle Ranch in West Hollywood. And if they weren’t tired after dinner, we would wrap up our night with drinks at Baja Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everything I am is due to the love, support, and encouragement I received from my mother. She moved to California just a few years ago in a time where I needed her the most. She gave up all that she had, including her stability to help me get back on my feet and in a position to where I can now follow my dreams. I wouldn’t be where I am without all of her sacrifices. I am forever indebted to her and love and appreciate her so much.
