We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasiya Kot and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anastasiya, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
The world is balanced in its duality. When you work hard, do not sleep well, do not have time to eat, you’ll probably get sick. Your body will tell you to relax, take your time, and recover. And awareness is the key here. To be aware means you can choose a scenario. You understand that you do not need to get sick in order to regain strength, you have other options. And you start to manage situations. When COVID questioned our balance and we became isolated, people around the world began to unite, organize communities and colivings. Virtual meetings and events become normal. Many people even expanded their social circle, moving from local communication to virtual. When I stopped going to the gym, I started doing sports at home. I put my exercise mat next to my bed and began doing yoga even more often since the entry threshold has significantly decreased. Over time I began to understand myself better. I know when I can and cannot. When I’m overwhelmed and need time to be alone to throw off all unnecessary. And then come back with energy to shine even brighter. Yoga, meditations, reading, or learning new languages are at my service here. The balance is always here, between your work and leisure, acceleration and deceleration, delight, and despondency. You just need to see it.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friends to The Arvo Pärt Centre in Estonia. There are many architects among my friends and they will definitely see the beauty of this place. The Arvo Pärt Centre is an open meeting place for musicians, researchers, architects, people who love music and art. The building was built in honor of Arvo Pärt, the Estonian composer who has created his own compositional style – Tintinnabuli and became known all over the world. His simple style which can be attributed to minimalism influenced the character of the building – it’s meditative and slow fluid. We’ll listen to Spiegel im Spiegel before we go to the Arvo Pärt Centre. In these sounds of tonic triad all complicated and chaotic life twists and turns disappear for a moment, you find calmness and stop searching. These are exactly the sensations that you experience getting into the Arvo Pärt Centre. The forest, the music of light on the floor and seamless flowing design with columns in stepwise motion around the building creates the atmosphere of serenity. Then we will definitely have breakfast on the Baltic Sea.
