Meet Andrés Di Rienzo | Creative Photographer and Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrés Di Rienzo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrés, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy? hmmm, honestly many things whether its doing simple things like listening to music or watching a movie for inspiration or hanging out with the people I call friends and seeing smiles on everyones faces. I, a young rockstar with the rhythm of my Hispanic roots in my veins,I find euphoria in the kaleidoscope of my creativity. Each click of my camera shutter orchestrates a symphony of emotions frozen in time, a visual tapestry weaving tales of color and contrast, mirroring the vibrant mosaic of my heritage. The city’s skyline becomes my canvas, painting stories of resilience and dreams anew, much like my own migration from the sun-kissed shores of Florida to this concrete jungle. Here, in the urban sprawl, where my ambition surges and grows everyday, I am reborn, capturing fragments of life, distilling its essence into visual poetry, and finding solace in the echoes of a city that never sleeps.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is an intricate dance between light and shadow, a visual symphony that aims to encapsulate the essence of emotions and stories. What sets me apart is my unyielding desire to merge my Hispanic roots with the electric energy of New York City, infusing my work with a blend of cultural vibrancy and urban dynamism. I strive to tell tales through my lens that resonate with the soul, each photograph a canvas for the narratives that shape our diverse world.
Pride blossoms within me for the journey I’ve traversed, from a young, aspiring artist to a rockstar in the field of photography and creativity. This path was far from easy, with trials and tribulations that required a resilient spirit to overcome. The challenges were formidable, often questioning the conventional expectations of my upbringing and societal norms. Yet, in the face of adversity, I clung to the unwavering support of my father and mentors, letting their belief in my potential fuel my determination.
One of the key lessons I’ve imbibed is the value of perseverance and authenticity. To succeed in a world bursting with talent and innovation, one must remain true to their vision, honing their craft relentlessly. I’ve learned to embrace failures as stepping stones, each stumble an opportunity to rise stronger and more resilient. Surrounding myself with a network of fellow creatives, mentors, and friends has been vital, for it’s through collaboration and shared experiences that growth and inspiration flourish.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it’s a celebration of breaking boundaries and defying stereotypes. I am a testament to the fact that passion and dedication can bridge cultures, generations, and expectations. My art represents the convergence of dreams and heritage, a testament to the power of self-belief and the ability to transform dreams into reality. In every frame captured, I hope to inspire others to embrace their unique narratives, for in the tapestry of diversity lies the heartbeat of true creativity.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
OK so first thing is first, start with a classic NYC bagel and coffee from a local deli. take the train into the city while riding between the carts. Brunch in a lively spot in the East Village. Go to Washington square park to people watch for a bit then head over to the MoMa (museum of modern arts). Later go to Bar Pitti for lunch then a bar near by to pregame then hit my favorite place in the world Pauls Casablanca. That place is the shit man!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Where do I start? I mean there’s are so many people to shoutout and thank here, firstly God stands as my cornerstone, the unwavering belief in divine purpose guiding my path through the bustling city lights of New York.. Secondly, I want to thank my parents and myself for believing in myself. I would also like to thank my father for having faith in what I did growing up, as a kid growing up in a hispanic/latino family its usually dumb or weird to pursue anything that isn’t the medical field or pursuing a trade of some sort but amidst the cultural expectations of a Hispanic upbringing, my father emerged as a beacon of support, championing my artistic pursuits in a world that often dictates a different narrative. It was he who nurtured my young curiosity and provided the canvas, my first camera, a promise to perfect the craft. I was always fascinated with learning things on my own and creating things no matter what. He helped me buy my first camera and I told him id learn it until I got it right which I did. I want to dedicate this shoutout to my younger self, the kid who never had friends, the kid who was an outcast and was quiet and misunderstood. He was always in his own little world, that room was the birthplace of what will be one of the biggest creatives to come out of Naples. I created and edited so many videos and photos, I literally launched my career from there. In addition to that, Id like to thank and give credit to people such as David Hernandez for being a hard ass on me and always challenging my creativity kinda like an annoying big brother. another person who really put my life into check is Patrick Manga, I was bumming and slumming on his couch week after week trying to get away from home. He helped me get my first actual good paying job and taught me how to be a responsible man, It really was a huge game changer. I owe a lot of credit to him because without him I don’t think I would’ve reached these heights and or would’ve had any money to make the move to New York. My Bestfriend Solly who honestly is like a brother I never had we also bring out the best in eachother. Andy Zheng for helping me express myself through fashion and really helping me find who I was through garments. He was on of the first guys in my home town that really put it on like that, styling wise I really look up to him. Other guys that believe in me and helped when I was looking for new friends that helped me express myself in way I always wanted to, Matt, Kliff, Dylan, Alex, Richard, Laz, Slyte, Jess, Shano, Jud and many more. Juan Davilla, as my mentor and for always telling me to run it and not care about what people had to say. Repetition of that and putting it into to play really elevated my mind and allowed me to create without bounds and without limits. I want to thank many of my online friends and photographers, I want to thank people like Gian, Ken, Brandon Cruz for giving a kid like me some leeway into the industry and allowing me to do what I do on sets. Its honestly a thanks to all of these people and many more.
