Meet Andres Garcia | Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andres Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andres, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I think, that as cliché as it sounds, you gotta listen to your heart. I understand that sometimes you feel burnout or tired, but if you chose a path because it is your passion, don´t give up, something good will come of it. The struggle only makes you a more complete person and I would say to just keep an open mind on what your goals or dreams are.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I´m an actor! I would just say that when I´m acting, I feel the most like myself. I love it more than anything else. I think it´s very interesting because each actor has their own story and all of our experiences mold us into the actors that we are. Its our take on life that sets us apart. Being an actor is never easy, is constant learning and understanding that nothing ipersonal, dealing with rejection and I would say creating your own opportunities instead of waiting for something to fall from the sky. Right now what I´m most excited about is this little short film that I wrote called The Bridge. It´s still on it´s early stages, but it is coming together
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite place in LA is The Griffith Observatory, it is just a place with a brethtaking view and it has this energy that I just love, so I would take them there the first day, but maybe at sunset. I think going one day see the Venice Canals and then to eat at Elephante in Santa Monica beach.. You have to check out the plays at the Geffen Playhouse or a Musical at The Pantages or The Ahmanson. Echo park at night and go out dancing to La Descarga
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think, more than anyone, my parents. They have supported me through everything adn have always pushed me to follow my dreams
