We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Barron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, how do you think about risk?
Taking risk has essentially helped me to understand my career a lot better because if I had played safe then I wouldn’t have developed the skills and know what I do today.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have said yes to a lot of opportunities as well as volunteered in order to experience moments that have not only thought me a lot about my career but helped me grow and understand. Some of the hardest spots I been in with my career has thought me how much I love what I do. I’m the type of filmmaker who isn’t comfortable just doing one position, but I’ve tried and learned various positions in my field because I love to know how things work and how I can improve my own brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
What I love about my location in the Inland Empire is that you could be dinning out somewhere new, fresh and delicious; go hiking on a beautiful trail outdoors, explore some awesome thrift shops downtown or even just take it easy at a museum. Those are some of just a few of what Southern California can give you. I’m lucky enough to be within a hour from any of those things.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents because without them I would have felt I had to choose a career that I was unhappy in and no matter at what point I been at, highs and lows; I’ve always had their encouragement to help me continue pushing towards my goals.
