Meet Andrew Koussevitky: Cannabis Attorney

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Koussevitky and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, what do you attribute your success to?
As a cannabis attorney, the most important factor behind my success is working in an industry that I’m extremely passionate about. I’ve been an advocate for cannabis legalization for over a decade, so to now be representing some of the top brands and operators in the cannabis space is a dream for me. My passion for the cannabis plant and industry makes it easy to wake up excited about work every morning, and I think that excitement ultimately has lead to my firm’s success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I founded Koussevitzky Law in 2018. We’re a cannabis, hemp, CBD, and hospitality law firm operating in California, New York, and Florida.

After working for other prominent law firms in the cannabis space, I ultimately started Koussevitzky Law to focus on the crossroads between corporate and regulatory law as it relates to cannabis, hemp, and hospitality.

It wasn’t easy making the transition from associate to business owner, but ultimately it was the best career decision of my life. Koussevitzky Law now represents some of the top cannabis brands and operators across the US. Having helped hundreds of cannabis operators successfully navigate the ever changing landscape, we’ve acquired an intimate knowledge of the commercial cannabis business that few attorney’s have. More than anything, we truly pride ourselves in helping our clients reach their goals and visions of success. As we say; “Let’s grow your business.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my friends come to town, I like to have them experience the local culinary scene. I think Los Angeles has the best restaurant scene in America, so I generally focus on that. Some places that I bring my friends to are Mariscos Jalisco, Bestia, Angler, Jitlada, Sushi I-naba, Holbox, Broad Street Oyster, and Mini Kabob.

Aside from eating, I like to make sure we see the beach and the mountains. We’ll likely spend some time in Malibu or Manhattan Beach, and also go for a hike in the Santa Monica mountains.

Finally, I’d try to squeeze in a visit to my favorite museum in the City, The Broad.

I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my beautiful wife Andrezza. She’s truly my biggest inspiration and supporter in everything I do.
