Meet Andrew Mizzi | Strategic Director at the Insynk Collective

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Mizzi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrew, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The initial thought process behind starting our own brand came when me and my partner Claude wanted to work on our own terms and create our own path. Our goal was to build something that can grow and attract other like minded freelancers to grow with us. Primarily being music producers we first set out to build our name and reputation in the music industry. Once we had a solid roster of artists, and our network grew. We began offering a more complete package including visuals, photos and more. This enabled us to begin taking on more courageous projects and involving more creative freelancers in the process.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As an artistic collective, our initial challenges included finding the perfect balance between artistic freedom and commercial viability. Trying to get a message across or help a brand sell its product is very hard when the media or content you are creating doesn’t resonate with the general public.
Team work and Cynergi are two of the most important factors that will affect the dynamic of the work and managing projects with multiple artists and freelancers is always a challenge. However I’ve found it’s best to allow people to follow their creative freedom then help them shape it in a way that works within the project.
Our brand is focused on creating amazing collective works between talented artistic freelancers. We seek to bridge the gap between a brand or entity and freelancers where the brand get all the benefits of working with a freelancer without the usual pitfalls of working with a solo person rather than a business.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly I would like to thank both my parents for supporting me in everything I do, without them this wouldn’t be possible. Our clients that have supported us from day one and without them there would be no Insynk. Last but not least I would love to give a massive shoutout to our Collective from my partner Claude to our amazing team including Maria galea, Jacob Saliba, Neo Borg Bonaci and Kris Polidano. All super talented and creative individuals which have contributed to making the Insynk Collective what it is today, and finally Andrew Borg Wirth who put me in contact with your company.
