Meet Andrew Sampson | Digital Marketing Agency Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Sampson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrew, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It all boiled down to my family. I wanted two things for myself/family. I wanted to have the flexibility of being your own boss offers and I wanted to start a successful business my children could one day join and be a part of. While I am working more hours than ever launching this business, I have the timing flexibility during the day to make it to school and sporting events with the kids.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been in the digital marketing space for over 20 years. I started while I was in college at Cal State Long Beach. Over the past two decades I have worked for small companies, large companies, startups, and agencies. For several years I had thought of starting my own agency but never felt like it was the right time. Last year I had this burning feeling that now was the time. I took the leap and started DigiYield. It has been difficult with many long hours, but I am very proud of where my business and I are at today.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is an easy question as there are some things that I a passionate about. I love the beach, so we would definity spend a day, or two there, probably at Seal Beach or Huntington Beach. I would bring him to the Griffith Observatory as it is such a cool outdoor space. I am a big LA Galaxy fan, so we would have to see a game. One of my favorite history places is the Mission Inn in Riverside, so we would have drinks at the Presidential Bar there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There have been a few people that have been really supportive. I would call them my village of support. I appreciate my wife’s support and patience, my parents Vic and Diane, and my sisters Kimberly and Nicole for always being there with whatever I may need, my friend and ex-boss Darren whose has helped tremendously. They each have helped in different ways, and more than they probably even realize.
