Meet Angela Izzo | Photographer, Director, & Film Maker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Izzo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me aside is that I am a master of a lot of trades. From shooting film, directing music videos, and working in fashion videography, to editing, and producing—I make my visual ideas a reality. Starting small and working my way up, I’ve created content for some of the biggest artists and clients, shaping my journey to where I am today. Beginning with a major in photojournalism, I transitioned into video, then dove into fashion, eventually leading me to develop my own artistic series showcased both online and in galleries worldwide. My passion lies in creating with various forms of media, and this journey has been a fulfilling exploration of my artistic vision.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For your visit to LA, we’d kick off with a nearby happy hour, catch a stunning sunset at one of my favorite Palos Verdes lookouts, or cruise up the coast to Malibu, stopping at Neptune’s Net for snacks and surfer-watching. Since I’m based in Highland Park, mornings would begin with coffee and breakfast tacos at Home State on Fig. We’d explore thrift stores, visit Echo Park Lake, take photos, and enjoy a lookout point. We would check out art galleries and end with an intimate dinner with friends. If up for it, we might squeeze in an overnight trip to Joshua Tree. Living in LA means embracing diverse scenery within a two-hour radius—come visit, and I’ll take you to the coolest spots!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be here if it was for my community of fellow creatives, clients, partnerships, and family and friends. The list is endless and extensive and I have a lot to be grateful for to have so much support in my creative and personal life to get me where I am today. Shout out to all my muses, galleries, and partners, who participated in the creation of Mystical Creatures and bringing this series to life!
