We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelyn Bernardino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angelyn, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Honesty has been the cornerstone of my success. I had to be deeply honest with myself about why I wanted to start my own healing business, where I envisioned it going, and what it would take to achieve those goals. This honesty not only shaped my journey but also allowed my meditations and sound baths to truly resonate with students and guests—I ask them to approach their own healing with the same level of honesty. I like to ask “can you be honest with without the lens of judgement”

When I became clearer about where I wanted my business to evolve, I started reaching for bigger opportunities, partnering with brands like Poosh, CAA, and Rare Beauty. Operating from a place of honesty helped me align with my purpose and rediscover joy in the work, and I believe that authenticity continues to fuel my growth.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, The Healers Ranch, is centered around making healing accessible and approachable for everyone, especially for those who, like me, may have once felt skeptical or excluded from these practices. I was really not nice about anything “healing” or wellnessy. Through sound baths, meditations, and other healing modalities, I create safe spaces for people to explore self-discovery, inner peace, and transformation.

What sets me apart is my ability to bridge the gap between traditional healing practices and modern lifestyles. I blend spiritual techniques with a grounded, relatable approach, making these tools feel less intimidating and more practical. I’m most proud of the moments when clients realize their own capacity to heal and reconnect with themselves. Seeing someone light up with self-discovery is what keeps me going.

Getting here wasn’t easy. I started out in the corporate creative and marketing world, building photoshoots, events and campaigns for major brands like Honest Company and Pair of Thieves, but I always felt something was missing. It took a lot of self-reflection, risk-taking, and honest conversations with myself to step into the healing arts. Early on, I faced imposter syndrome, wondering if I could really bring value in such a meaningful space. I overcame this by focusing on service—when I shifted my mindset to helping others rather than proving myself, everything started falling into place.

While my business is about healing, I’ve always struggled with the concept of being labeled a “healer.” I truly believe that each individual is their own greatest healer. My role, and the role of other professionals on their team, is to guide, support, and enable them to become the best version of themselves. Empowering others to tap into their inner strength and wisdom is at the core of what I do.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way are endless, but the biggest one is to trust the process and lead with authenticity. It’s okay to pivot, evolve, and follow where your heart calls you. I’ve learned that success doesn’t come from chasing trends but from staying true to what feels aligned.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that healing isn’t reserved for the privileged few—it’s for everyone. I was once someone who thought these practices weren’t meant for me, and now I’m committed to making them accessible, safe, and welcoming. My story is proof that anyone can find their way to a more authentic, connected life, and I’m here to support that journey however I can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d plan the ultimate coastal and soulful adventure! We’d kick things off with brunch by the beach in Malibu—nothing beats the sound of waves while enjoying some bites. Next, we’d head to Lake Shrine in the Palisades for some peaceful reflection and gorgeous views.

From there, we’d make our way to India Sweets and Spices in the Valley to pick up some unique finds and indulge in their incredible snacks, I love their Strawberry Lassi. The next morning would be all about crystals—we’d explore Rock Paradise in Canoga Park and Native Spirit Lodge on Ventura Boulevard to hunt for the perfect ones to take home. We’d definitely stop by Follow Your Heart for brunch because what’s a trip to LA without trying vegan meatloaf.

Along the way, we’d grab a coffee break at Coffee and Plants in Studio City—it’s adorable and always worth a visit, I love the chaga-cino. In the evening, we’d head to Unplug Meditation for a class to unwind and center ourselves. To top it all off, we’d wind down with dinner at Pancho’s in Manhattan Beach, enjoying great food and even better vibes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am so privileged to say THANK YOU to so many people and organizations who have played a part in my journey! First and foremost, thank you to my family for believing in my ability to help people and supporting me every step of the way.

A huge thank you to all the organizations that helped me acquire the skillset I have today—Honest Company, Pair of Thieves, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, your impact on my growth has been invaluable. I’m also deeply grateful to my current clients and the spaces that allow me to share healing arts with the community, like Unplug Meditation and Lumina Healthcare.

I couldn’t do any of this without my incredible friends and peers who uplift and inspire me to be better every day because of their pursuit in creating a better community—Megan, Alison and Serenity Oasis, Adam (Gratitude Group), Dominic (High Vibe Conscious queer parties!), Evelynn and HikeClerb you’ve each left such a mark on my heart and my journey, and have provided me such safe places to share the practices so near to my heart.

Lastly, to my clients and students: thank you for trusting me with your healing and for showing up so courageously. Your stories inspire me to keep growing and sharing in return.
