We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Stella and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When it comes to risk, I believe there are no wrong answers, just bad outcomes. My philosophy is simple: time will pass whether you do something or not, so if Iā€™m really into something and the moment is right, Iā€™ll just do it.

While we spend a lot of time predicting and calculating scenarios, the reality is that not all hazards can be predicted or avoided. Risks donā€™t necessarily equate to failure, even when the outcome isnā€™t what we hoped for. Iā€™ve learned that some risks should be avoided, such as knowingly doing the wrong thing or failing to gather the right data.

Preparation is crucial and research without testing or creating a prototype can be a pitfall. Itā€™s essential to test your ideas in real-world scenarios to validate your research.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
BBSA is a global outsourcing marketing agency that has grown from humble beginnings to a multi-award-winning enterprise. I conceived of the idea in a small kitchen on 12/12/2012. BBSA’s mission has always been to help businesses grow and expand. Our passion for innovative marketing drives us to continually develop new ways for our clients to succeed. What are the lessons youā€™ve learned along the way?

I am constantly working to be a dynamic and positive leader; I’ve learned that the brightest leaders donā€™t just rely on their own success but help their team shine too. With this in mind, I believe in embracing new ideas and involve my team members in projects regardless of titles ā€“ because great ideas can come from anyone. I also believe strongly in challenging my team by providing opportunities for everyone to improve their skills. This keeps us engaged and motivated. I have had some excellent mentors, and I have learned that successful leadership requires a healthy dose of self-reflection. Sometimes this means youā€™ve got to ā€œfire yourself.ā€ This means regularly reassessing your role and approach as if you were starting out anew. I find that this often brings fresh perspectives and helps me to continually improve my own performance.

What do you want the world to know about you, or your brand and story?

Weā€™ve come a long way since that tiny kitchen where the dream first began, and we are proud of our achievements and excited about the future as we continue to set new standards in the marketing industry.

Letā€™s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dorothy Parker famously described Los Angeles as a collection of 72 suburbs in search of a city. For visitors seeking a relaxing and immersive experience, I recommend starting your journey in Beverly Hills, where you can bask in the city’s signature glitz and glamour. Beyond the allure of Beverly Hills, experience the essence of Old Hollywood by strolling through the historic Greystone Mansion. Donā€™t miss out on visits to the iconic Getty Center and Getty Villa, both offering rich cultural experiences. And of course, no trip to LA is complete without a day at the beach; head to Paradise Cove in Malibu for sun, sand, and the quintessential California beach vibe.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I think thereā€™s a tendency for us to look up to big entrepreneurs or world leaders in a quest to find out what they do differently, in the hopes it can turn our own performance around. While this can be both useful and inspiring, my shoutout doesnā€™t go to them but to my team members who deserve all the credit.

My team has done so much for our company and continues to do so. They truly care about our success and the success of our clients. I am motivated and inspired by their commitment and the fact that they give their best every single day. They genuinely care about doing a great job, even when life gets in the way and their hard work doesnā€™t result in big accolades or global recognition.
Itā€™s a non-stop inspiring lesson in resilience and pride in getting great work done.
