We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Isaiah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, how does your business help the community?
Music is a soundtrack for your life. We create life lasting memories associated with the song playing at that time . Music is therapy. Its a healing tool. People turn to music as an outlet during hard times and good. Music can deliver a message, and the people are the bridge. I’m very thankful to be able to utilize my gifts to put a little bit more positivity into society – especially in a time where that seems to be missing more than ever.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are all trying to stand out in the music industry – and we have seen 1,000 different gimmicks that people have attempted in order to do so. At the end of the day I am trying to be as true to myself as possible, and I believe my fan base appreciates that, and is able to relate to my message. I am a pure singer, and have a lot of R&B influence in my style. My voice is definitely unique, and a standout element in the songs I create. I’ve been singing since a kid, so I’ve been blessed to have a life time of vocal practice. I like to incorporate elements of funk into my songs, while also maintaining that “bounce” that people love.

Proudest moment in my journey so far is having my first record , James Brown with SNBRN and Malcolm Anthony, clear 3 Million streams on Spotify, and several million on Tik Tok.

I’m still learning – but some lessons so far: Don’t take things personal, dont do business with family, always have an end goal, it ain’t over til it’s over.

It’s not really for me to say what I want the world to know about my brand / story. I hope that they are able to take something positive away from any interaction that have with my music. If that continues to happen, all the better.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m in the studio a lot, thats my home away from home. But I also love to relax at the beach, get some Cali Shrimp and Wings, maybe go to Madera’s in Los Alamitos, Gotta grab tacos at El Sauz late night. Oh and shoutout Qs Smoke House with the ribs, and Funnel House on the pier.

But to be honest, I’m a home body. I’m either at the studio, or home watching movies. If it wasn’t quarantine, you’d catch me at the Movie Theater a couple times a week – definitely hittin’ Tuesday Matinees with Billy.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In no particular order, Mom, Lela Photography, Jay Waterman, Malcolm Anthony, Billy, Rocc the Jocc, & Blue Waters
