We had the good fortune of connecting with Artie Terra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Artie, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My community is a body positive, lgbtqia+,erotic artists, cannabis activests and introverts. As I was introduced and integrated into this fabulous community, I had many others hold me up, inspire me and be a platform for others to communicate their struggles, successes and solutions. The only option after being so lovingly embraced by this community is to become the best ambassador and hopeful mentor for the community itself. Art has always been an expression of the best and worst of humanity, the non-verbale emotions of an affected persons and/or communities. Being able to be a platform, whether it is big or small, for such a wonderful community has been one of the unexpected, yet wonderful things that has come out of my business and social media platforms. Being embraced by communities like Queer Artist Collab LA, The Social Impact Center, The Canna Boss Babes and Dope Mom Collective just to name a few have opened my eyes to an amazing world of possibilities and a future in art.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My artwork is the way I express my feelings about the world. The older I get, the more I realize life is ever changing and there is always room to learn. I have lived many lives from artist, to coffee barista, to special effects artist, to budtender, to cannabis consultant. I love to express humor and reality combined. Especially when it comes to body positivity and equality by creating through nudity, glitter and joy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love coffee so I would definitely have to take my friends to my favorite coffee joints, Antigua in Lincoln Heights, Spoke Bicycle Cafe in frog town, Tierra mia coffee has a few locations all over LA and Document Coffee Bar in K town. I would also take a friend to eat in Chinatown, or go grab a french dip at Philippe’s and shop at new profanity or the artist & craftsman supply in downtown LA. Besides that I am mostly a homebody. I enjoy my Garden, my cat and making art in the studio.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
