We had the good fortune of connecting with Arus Motta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arus, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
There is an old rule that my folks told me: “When preparation meets talent you have the success”. This is a simple formula, maybe too simple, but summarize pretty well where success comes from. Of course, you have many other factors that influence the meaning of and the actual success, one of many is luck. Me, and my associates, don’t considerate ourselves as “successful”, we are on our way there, real success takes time, preparation, setbacks, delusions, small victories, good and bad collaborations, and also there are many different kinds of success: work, artistic, and personal successes are all different games. And like always there is no one general formula for it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Newscapes Entertainment was born to create something new, a better way to produce artistic content and to give opportunity to young people, such ourselves, to express themselves and make money. It’s not easy, but not impossible, we are just getting started, and we keep our minds open for every collaboration especially with people who shares our values towards a new way of working in our industry, in other words a less bureaucratic approach with more freedom for artists and producers. One thing that really sets apart from the others is that we know how it works in both the Italian and the American markets, and when we mix our knowledge, it helps us to solve problems easily.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Caffè Roma in Beverly Hills is always a good spot for an aperitivo, plus a classic walk in Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades is always refreshing. Also, for the weekends I always loved to go to Malibu, driving on the PCH and Sunset is always a nice experience, and if I have time a weekend in Big Sur is always the best.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and friends, you know who you are. And of course a special dedication to my business partner Andrea Dalfino.
