We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Haynes Gilliam and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?

Wait until you’re ready.

I think you have to just go for it and move. The idea of  “waiting for a sign” may never happen… or when you think it’s a sign you double and triple guess and never move forward. So if you have an idea or a vision just go for it little by little. Just trust and believe as you go through the consistent motions of what you believe in the rest will fall into place.

The small steps will become big steps and it will grow and evolve bigger than you ever imagine.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Infinity by Ash organically became what it is now from the desire for healthy and hydrated skin for myself realizing I am not the only one yearning for this flawless and glowing skin. Infinity By Ash ingredients have been specifically chosen with a purpose for sensitive skin, it will be soothed, calmed and nourished because of the concentrated charm from the natural plants and minerals incorporated to create my body butters, body oils and more. Its food for the skin. I focus on providing no toxins, synthetics, silicones, parabens, sulphates, preservatives or fillers of any kind. Infinity by Ash is where the skincare begins and makes a difference!

When I think about how Infinity By Ash started and where it is now. I am most excited for just the upcoming growth of my business. Watching it expand little by little throughout the months to years. I first started with just a peppermint exfoliating scrub to face/ body oils / body butters/ lip products and a line catered to men’s facial/ skincare needs. Everyone has different concerns or focuses to carry the confidence within their skin. I have been honored to become apart of a lot of friends and families routine to achieving that goal. Often times new products come about from custom orders that I feel others can benefit from. I love the challenge as I tackle this skincare world I learn about more natural plants and oils to help everyone as I evolve.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I love calm settings, chill vibes and everyone around are being creatives or inspiring each other sharing ideas, pointing someone in the direction to better assist them to their level

of greatness.

On a Sunday I start out my day slow and probably meet up with friends for a ameutur game of volleyball or soccer and then get the day going around 10 am or 11. Take off to Inglewood and get an lavender iced coffee and jumbo size chicken sandwich from Hilltop Coffee Shop. Probably use my laptop to get caught up on ideas that came to mine from the previous week.

Monday -Wednesday I would get an early morning workout in Bellflower at a friends gym and spend the day exploring throughout the South Bay botanical gardens then dine out.

I have a friend who does stand up comedy so I would try to catch a comedy show at the laugh factory in the evening.

Thursday -Friday:
Towards the end of the week I’m more of a homebody than usual. I will make time to get another workout in and get a massage and therapeutic plung in this outdoor nature feel spot in Venice.

Saturday – Early morning hike and go to a brunch with friends. Somewhere by the ocean and just taking in the scenery. Probably find a small bakery and pick up a few treats to snack on that evening.  Let the day take me on an impromptu exploration.

I admit I can be pretty underwhelming with things to do however if you are a friend of mine you already know this. I do have a lively little tribe of friends here in LA and we can all get together and whatever they collectively come up with I’m not turning down any function!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

Everyone and everything plays a role in what makes Infinity by Ash go. I believe every encounter rather good or bad shapes and molds my drive to keep going harder than before.

I am inspired by other creatives. Creating something and constantly showing up takes a lot of time, energy and mental perseverance.

As well as, my intimate circle of friends and family for always being my testers on any new product and assisting in anyway I need them. For always using their platforms to keep Infinity By Ash growing. For feeding me with positivity and love while I embark this amazing journey. It really takes a lot of mental strength and an amazing support system and I appreciate them all for keeping me going!
