We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Kermani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am from the vibrant city of Beverly Hills, California, I am the product of a unique blend of cultures and experiences, deeply rooted in the resilience and determination of my Iranian heritage. My parents, who embarked on a transformative journey from Iran to America, have indelibly shaped the fabric of my upbringing. Their unwavering commitment to forging a better life in a new land serves as an enduring testament to the power of perseverance and the pursuit of one’s dreams.

From a young age, I was imbued with the profound wisdom that anything is attainable with unwavering determination and a commitment to excellence. My parents instilled in me the belief that the path to success is paved with hard work, resilience, and the unwavering resolve to overcome any obstacle that may stand in one’s way. Their inspiring tales of triumph over adversity in their quest to reach America have served as a beacon of motivation, igniting within me an unwavering determination to surmount any challenge on my journey toward success.

Their stories resonate deeply within me, reminding me that the greatest achievements are born out of perseverance and resilience. Every hurdle I encounter serves as an opportunity for growth and self-discovery, propelling me ever closer to my goals. Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of my proudest achievements is my unwavering commitment to my beliefs. In 2017, I embarked on a journey with Adidas that ignited a deep passion for the brand within me. Known as the “Adidas girl” by those around me, I poured my heart and soul into my role. Within a year, I earned a promotion to a supervisor position, a transition that not only allowed me to grow personally but also as a leader within the Adidas team.

Throughout my tenure at Adidas, I gleaned invaluable lessons. Firstly, I discovered immense joy in providing customers with unforgettable service experiences. Secondly, I realized my innate talent for sales. Fueled by my passion for customer service and sales, I pursued a career in real estate, earning my license amidst the challenges of the pandemic.

Transitioning into real estate was no easy feat, especially amidst a red-hot market and the uncertainties brought on by the pandemic. Despite the initial difficulties, I remained steadfast in my determination. Overcoming obstacles taught me the importance of patience and consistency in the real estate industry.

My perseverance bore fruit when I successfully facilitated the purchase of a commercial property for a client. This achievement propelled me forward, yet challenges persisted, particularly in managing finances during escrow periods. With the unwavering support of my brother, I navigated through the ups and downs of my first year as an agent, learning invaluable lessons along the way.

I realized the significance of self-promotion for realtors, leading me to explore opportunities in digital marketing. Joining Zentap, an all-in-one digital marketing solution for real estate agents, allowed me to leverage my experiences to assist fellow agents in enhancing their online presence and lead generation efforts. Drawing from my own journey, I now support agents who, like me, face the daunting task of balancing sales and marketing responsibilities while building their clientele from scratch.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend were to visit me for a week-long adventure in LA, I’d kick off our journey with a visit to Maru, my beloved coffee haunt in Beverly Hills. Next up, we’d indulge in breakfast at Dialog Cafe in West Hollywood before strolling along the iconic Sunset Strip, taking in the vibrant atmosphere.

A must-stop on our itinerary would be Melrose Avenue, where we’d explore the eclectic array of stores and sneaker shops, satisfying my passion as a devoted sneakerhead.

Venturing further, we’d head to the picturesque shores of Malibu Beach for lunch at the renowned Nobu, soaking in the coastal beauty. On our return trip, a quick detour to Santa Monica’s 3rd Street Promenade would offer a chance to peruse charming boutiques and dine at local eateries, followed by an exhilarating visit to the pier for some amusement park fun.

As evening descends, I’d highly recommend dinner at Jon and Vinny’s for a memorable culinary experience. The inviting ambiance, delectable cuisine, and lively atmosphere make it a favorite spot for enjoying great music and even better company. Don’t miss out on the spicy fusilli—it’s an absolute must-try!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to extend a heartfelt shoutout to my brother, Benjamin Kermani, whose influence has been paramount in shaping the woman I am today. From my formative years, he has been my mentor, guiding me along the path to becoming the businesswoman I am today. With a seven-year age gap between us, I vividly recall observing his interactions with others, marveling at his ability to effortlessly connect and persuade. He possesses a remarkable knack for selling anything to anyone.

One of the most profound lessons my brother imparted on me is to never accept “no” as the final answer. He taught me that where there’s a will, there’s always a way, and persistence is key to achieving one’s desires. Without his guidance, none of my accomplishments would have been possible. He has consistently been my staunchest supporter, steering me towards success with unwavering encouragement.

Over the past five years, he has been instrumental in my education, imparting invaluable knowledge spanning real estate, the stock market, and, perhaps most importantly, the resilience to persevere in the face of adversity. I owe everything I have achieved to my brother’s unwavering support and invaluable guidance.
