We had the good fortune of connecting with Aura Moseley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aura, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was to get out of my 9-5 job I absolutely hated. I saw my mom have her own business braiding hair and I always had a yearning to have my own business because I enjoy having freedom.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a mobile stretch business. I think what sets me apart from others is my business focuses on stretch therapy solely instead of massage. Massage is great but Americans just do not stretch as much as people in eastern countries and I’m proud my business is helping change that. It was not easy getting where I am today.

I had many people tell me to just start a massage business it would be easier, and I’ve also had people tell me I could not compete with the stretch labs around the city. I had to overcome these challenges by but putting emphasis on marketIng my business on social media in a way that is unique and makes people want to book my services over a stretch lab type corporation. So far it’s been going well I enjoy posting videos of a select few of my clients in nature and beautiful places.

What I’ve learned from having my business is to have patience and to stay focused. I got so frustrated in the beginning because I wasn’t getting many clients but I learned to have patience and to stay focused on my goals. People eventually saw the need and value in my services. What I’d like the world to know about my brand is I take pride in making my clients feel better when they book my services. The extra time, care, and convenience my clients receive is very important to me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to one of my favorite restaurants called Kura in Little Tokyo then we would go to my favorite beach spot in Palos Verdes to relax after that we would get drinks at Lighthouse cafe and listen to some jazz. My favorite things to check out in the city are places to listen to live music, secret beach spots, food festivals, wine tastings, adult arcades, and spas

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mentor and previous coworker Jeff (Visha Evol) who currently lives in Bali. He taught me everything I know about anatomy, healing, and techniques to relieve pain in certain areas of the body. He helped me become more meticulous with my technique and observe everything in a persons body before I touch them..
