Meet B G | Local Band Smokeout Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with B G and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi B, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I just wanted a funnel for being able to jam my friends music and tell others about it. Around 10 years ago (when I started doing reaction videos) reaction videos were almost not heard of at the time. Now they’re everywhere lol. I find it’s a great way to discover artists of any genre from all over the globe!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It’s been a constant grind. For years I did this completely for free just as a hobby until I realized it could become a full time career. I must put about 70/80 hours a week into content for the show. Gotta hustle ya know! If you believe in something, don’t ever give up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I reside in what’s called the High Desert but of course the obvious answer is LA (about 2 hours from me). I frequently attend The Whisky a Go Go which happens to be my favorite venue. Of course some cannabis shops 😉 and you have to make a stop in Long Beach as well to enjoy the view and locals. If an Anaheim visit is in the cards, make sure to swing by Chain Reaction to catch a show as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout my team who helps me run the show on a daily basis. Lizi , Trista, Mojo, Cody and JB. These guys help me a ton!
