Meet Bailey Marie | Singer/songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bailey Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bailey, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor for me is being persistent! Although I’m still young, I try to make my work ethic a priority.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love writing songs that share a story. I try to make my music about helping others who may be going through things and I also like to write songs that present the opportunity to really showcase my voice.. I’m a belter so I love to have fun with riffs and belting. I try to express emotion with every song that I sing. I work with Dallas Lovato on occasion and she taught me early on that if I can’t feel the song then it’s not the right song for me. I’ve tried to stay true to that advice with all of my music.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Actually we just talked about this with one of my producers. We told him that if he ever comes to town that we should take him to Tony’s Ice Cream in Gastonia NC. It’s home made ice cream and local to only our area. They have been in business since my great grandparents were kids. We would probably take them out for a day on the lake. We love Lake James in our area and would spend the day paddle boarding and fishing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Where to begin! I owe so much to the people that I work with everyday. This includes Kent Wells, Andrew Lane and David Rhyne. They do such an amazing job working with me on my music. My parents are also the backbone to my music career. Without them I wouldn’t have the amazing opportunities that I’ve had.
