Hi Bam-Bam, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Attention energizes, and intention transforms.”

I love this quote because it encapsulates the power of creativity. To create, one must focus their attention to activate ideas and bring the imaginary into reality. However, equally important is the ability to let go and move forward. Creativity requires the capacity to detach attention, releasing the energy of an idea or concept when necessary.

Intention, on the other hand, serves as the transformative force. It is about putting ideas out into the universe and allowing them to unfold, seeing where the pieces land. Together, attention and intention work in harmony, forming a symbiotic relationship that fuels creativity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
After 2020, I experienced a significant career shift, transitioning from being an illustrator and mural painter to a fashion designer. I also went from working as an independent artist to running a business and employing others.

It all began when I translated my designs from illustrations into textiles and collaborated with a tailor to create the first few kimonos. At the time, he had little work due to the pandemic, so instead of making just 10 kimonos, I decided to produce 100 to sell—and that’s how the journey started.

Four years later, we’ve created multiple collections, showcased them in fashion shows and events in New York, the UK, and Japan, and now sell in shops worldwide. The brand has grown organically, and I’m incredibly grateful to be doing something that excites me creatively while supporting a team that has grown alongside it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We have representation in LA with ETCTERA showroom, however don’t live in LA. Hope to visit it soon, so will need an itinerary!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It has to be my husband, Dan. Since we met, we’ve accomplished so many fabulous things together and he is an inspiring father.
Despite both being fiercely independent people with our own ambitions, we’re always there to support each other’s dreams. When I found out I was pregnant just a few weeks before the biggest event of my career so far – a show in Times Square at New York Fashion Week, sponsored by one of the world’s leading video game companies. Dan was my rock. He quite literally carried me through it. There’s no way I could have pulled off that show without him.
Together, we made it an unforgettable event. Dan never sought recognition, but I made sure he walked the runway with me at the end to show how deeply grateful I was for his support.
