We had the good fortune of connecting with Bebe Couri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bebe, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic career, because I’ve always seen the world a little different I believe. I actually grew up wanting to be a Vet Tech, and had an opportunity to model at the age of 18. From there I fell in love with the runway/stage. After years of doing local shows in my home town, I was intrigued to see what more the world had to offer. Hence the reason I made the jump from a small town to such a large place like L.A. I’ve always been inspired by what I was raised around, to grow and challenge myself, and with the journey across country I did just that

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Professionally I am a Creative Director/Wardrobe Stylist. What sets me apart is my internal style and grace. I feel there is no one like me. As much flare with wardrobe, I also have the right amount of tone down to successfully accomplish any look for a client.

This road has been quite a journey. Challenges in this field and industry comes just like any other. But sticking to my guns and faith have helped me to navigate the toughest challenges. I’ve been doing this whole “fashion” thing for 11 years and still feel like this is only just the beginning. Stay tuned there’s more.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite places in L.A are of course the beaches. Malibu to be exact, because of the scenic views. I also loved to sit and reflect at the Observatory that overlooks L.A. If we are talking about food, I loved to go to O.G wingz( I’m a chicken guy LOL) and downtown for some street tacos, is a must being in L.A.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout out my mother, for never giving up on me and continuing to keep me grounded on my pursuit of success. She’s been my rock at the lowest points in my life, and I am beyond thankful for her.

I would also like to give a shout out to my team, the ‘Alani Taylor’ brand for pushing me and showing me the ropes when it comes to this industry. We tag team a lot of things in our career and I’m grateful for someone believing in me and my gifts.
