Meet Bella Farrow | DragQueen Entertainer and Female Illusionist .

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bella Farrow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bella, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Some people think the “Art of Drag ” is just to put makeup and dress like a woman . Some people have not realize the amount of effort we put to entertain, as example when it’s a Production show we have hours of rehearsals to give the best to the audience. After years of this art it took a TV show to put the drag scene in different perspective and now people is paying more attention to it. Before we were bunch of guys pretending to be women, I personally suffered health conditions , being hospitalized twice for being committed to being in Drag for many hours. It’s not just the illusion we give, it’s the passion we put on it .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was born in a small country in Central America, El Salvador, a country that until now still have taboos about Drag queens and the Lgbtq+ Community. I am coming from a very religious family where my father was part or the Military over there. Being a little gay guy it was a nightmare ,starting from the bullying and discrimination to sexual abuse for men that think everything has to be their way. I always knew that wanted to be a star, I used to close myself in my room to practice songs and dance cause I wanted to be a star.
When I had the opportunity to go to a gay clubs ,in 1998 where everything it was underground and secret cause you can suffer peoples attack if they find who you are at that time. I was pushed by accident into a stage because I was watching my friend putting makeup and I was Faccinated, so I asked her to put me some as experiment and I loved it. That day I was watching the show from backstage and suddenly they announced a new dragqueen, so.eone that they waiting to take the Step into drag scene. I was confused cause I didn’t see anyone and I asked my friend who was the person and she laughed and pushed me to the stage and told me, You Are.
I was in shock cause people went crazy , clapping and shouting cause finally I was on stage , kind of dressing as a dragqueen. The hostess asked me about my name and I made up something I told her Rachel Marrow for that night, immediately they announced me as the first contestant for the Beauty pageant Miss Revelation. I was so confused . They asked me to perform a song and I did. One of my favorite song from a mexican singer Yuri, ” Cuando Baja la Marea ” . That day the spotlight blessed me and people loved me. The following weeks was to start getting stuff to create my persona, but I wasn’t convinced with my name so I changed it to my Bella Farrow which has my favorite Disney Princess Belle and the last name of the beautiful Actress Mia Farrow.
I started participating in beauty contests inside and Outside El Salvador . I AND WON ALL OF THEM.

My friend Jose Mario told me.one day to go and ask for an opportunity it was a Sunday, we went, I was so nervous , I asked for the person in charge and they told me ask for Elektra del Rio, she was busy so someone gave me her number. The day after I messaged her and asked her for an opportunity she told me I would have to audition I said yes . She gave me 5 days to get ready, I didn’t have anything, but my friends, Jose Mario ,Angelo and Wilber put me together and I and the best time ever performing the song ” Woman Got the Power by Jennifer Hollyday. I will definitely take my friend to one of my shows at Hamburger Marys, now I’m based more in Weho so there’s a platy of bars and clubs to go, Mickey’ Night Club, Beaches, The Abbey.. I definitely will take my friend to. A walk in Sabta Monica Peer and watch the Sunset sitting on the benches while we talked about how far we are and look where we are sitting chatting.
I love me a good restaurant so I will take my friend to Fogo de Chao in Beverly Hills one of my favorite spots, or to try my favorite soup , Pho Soup in Koreatown.
A walk by the Wlak of the Stars is mandatory specially I will take to check the star of my Favorite Singer. La Diva de la Banda Jenni Rivera. That’s why I love LA. Always something to do.
