Meet benjamin kraim | founder & creative director

We had the good fortune of connecting with benjamin kraim and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi benjamin, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
building a strong team and creating a company culture that promotes creativity.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
consistency has been the key along with democracy. I know that sounds stale and kind of political but its true. Creating and posting an original piece of content every day has been the only secret sauce to reaching an audience of half a million. What i mean by democracy is my ability to drop my ego and personal opinions on whether a piece of content is good or not and allow the whole of the team to vote on it. There’s been content i hated that turned out to be some of our best performing and vice versa and so we collectively decide what gets published and what gets trashed.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For me its a combo of restaurant/food establishments mixed with nature in the city. As a kid I was a so called photographer and especially liked shooting friends and clients in interesting locations. So i would open up google maps, look for blue and green spaces in brooklyn and just go there to explore it and i have found at least 50 different spots in Brooklyn where you feel like you’re hundreds of miles from a city. I will be gatekeeping those spots. As for food – Frankies on court street is an all time favorite for Italian cuisine. Win Son in brooklyn or 886 in manhattan for Taiwanese food, luigies for pizza in park slope and L&B Spumoni gardens for a square slice in southern brooklyn (wait for a fresh pie, its worth it. and douse it in parm and red pepper flakes).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The ultimate shoutout would go to anyone’s that’s ever worked for me in a full time or even freelance position. you cant be successful without a strong team and you cant maintain a strong team unless they believe in your vision. I’ve been fortunate enough to have people who are just as passionate about my vision for the cannabis community as I have and that’s been the driving force of our success.
