Meet Benjamin Naderi | Founder & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Benjamin Naderi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Benjamin, how do you think about risk?
From an early age, I have never been risk adverse. As an immigrant, my father began his journey in this country with little to lose and a lot to gain. While he was calculated with risks, he has never been risk adverse and made some “risky” choices that ended up being very beneficial for him and for our family. Growing up with him as my biggest role model, I often times see risk as opportunity and try to take advantage of it when I can.

What should our readers know about your business?
My friend and I were looking to buy an investment property in Los Angeles and kept meeting real estate agents who had been in the business for many years, but did not have a social media or digital presence. When we spoke to all of them, they all said the same thing – they wanted to focus on closing and selling and not on posting and creating content. They found that to be very time consuming and pricey, not to mention that most of them didn’t even know how to use social media. We realized that while social media is innate for some, others find it daunting and that’s when the idea for Zentap was born.
We came up with a way to automate content and pull local market data that we can post for real estate agents, along with valuable content about the real estate market, marketing videos, flyers and more. For a fraction of what an agency would charge, we post and manage their social platforms so they can focus on their business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Los Angeles is so diverse and has so many great things to offer that I really need to think to narrow down the options! I am a HUGE basketball fan so if it were basketball season, a Lakers game would be a must and while in downtown, would go to dinner somewhere in the Arts District. I also love going to Nobu Malibu for the vibe and ocean view so that would be a definite stop. For a good meal, would take them to Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills or Wally’s for a drink.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Shoutout goes out to the most influential person in my life – my father. Unfortunately it’s been 5 years since he passed away and today is actually the anniversary of his passing and not a day goes by without me thinking about him and how much he sacrificed for his family. He had come on vacation to the United States with my mother and sister in 1977 before the Iranian revolution and had just bought and furnished a new home in Iran. During his vacation here, my grandparents told him to stay put and that things were getting strange in Iran. Fast forward over 4o years and they had to just leave everything behind and start their lives together here, without knowing the language or having much of a support system here.
My father was the ultimate entrepreneur and was able to bring things to life by seeing the big picture and navigating throughout all the obstacles. He was very sharp and charming and loved meeting and talking to people of all cultures and would make them smile within the first few minutes of meeting him. He was a workaholic and loved what he did and did it passionately to provide the best life for our family.
